Cups and Cones — Restaurant in Avon

First, your Facebook page says you are open until 10pm on Wednesday nights. We arrived at 8:50 on Wednesday night , Sept 22nd. There were other customers on the picnic tables eating ice cream. Your open sign was illuminated. There was an employee standing behind the window who saw my family of five walk up and start reading the menu. We took about five minutes to read the menu, trying to decide what we wanted, dealing with two indecisive children who really wanted ice cream. I walked forward five feet to the window only to have the employee, who knew we had been there for five minutes, tell us through the window that the store was closed. I looked over at the open sign, which had been previously illuminated, and it had been turned off.

First, if you have changed your closing time, update your Facebook. Second, don't let customers stand five feet away and read the menu for five minutes only to tell them you are closed when they make their decisions. I feel like your employee saw a family of five and didn't want to deal with them, so she turned the open sign off and decided on a whim the store was closed. I wouldn't ever consider returning to your establishment after being treated so rudely. I don't write reviews often, but you...

The ice cream was good. No qualms there. Service was TERRIBLE. Went on an August Monday night. In addition to the employee taking orders, there were at least 3 others to fulfill them. When we arrived, we walked right up to the window, so all the orders in front of us had already been placed. Yet, it took 15 minutes for 3 workers to give out 10 ice creams in front of us and then ours, as a line of another 25 people built up behind us to wait. When they were giving the ice cream, they softly spoke the order into a crowded room of waiting people that couldn’t hear a word they were saying. Please do better, guys. Move your feet like customer service matters, shout the order, make it an upbeat environment. Ice cream should be fun, not annoying. To sum up, we’d probably tell you to still go for the flavor, but manage your expectations to possibly wait way longer than...

Cute little ice cream shop. I gave 5 stars because my family of 5 all enjoyed what we ordered. From ice cream cups, to waffle cones, italian ice and milkshakes. Everyone definitely approved (i have 3 picky eaters). I had the hot fudge sundae with oreos (Amazing), my husband had cookies & cream in a waffle cone and said it was so good even the cone, 1 kid got the strawberry cheesecake milkshake which was so amazing and flavorful....will definitely visit again when Im on vacation. The ONLY thing i wasnt crazy about was you order outside at the window then step inside and wait for your order. It was extremely busy, so when orders were called out, nobody knew if it was theirs or not bc they do not call your order out by name or number, just by what was ordered so alot of customers were confused.
