Ayden Mini Mart — Local services in Ayden

I was a regular customer until tonight. Prior visits were fair at best but nothing special when it comes to great customer service. I have always suspected some prejudice but tried to keep a good attitude. Meanwhile tonight I'm waiting in line to be helped but there was one person ahead of me that was playing lottery. Meanwhile only one person was working the register at this time. He was a kind black man however it appeared the usual foreigner workers were on lunch. I'm clearly the next person in line and people are still coming in and there was one guy behind me that was off to the side. So the foreigner male comes up QUICKLY and assisted the guy behind me! Keep in mind this customer skin color is closer to his so Im assuming he didn't want him waiting! Ok I'm annoyed and I was like excuse me. I was clearly next in line. Then the male,clerk attempts to lecture me about what he thought I was purchasing once I called him out for being RUDE! He could have simply ask me what I needed because I was next in line. I could tell that he was obviously embrassed because I was right and all the customers saw how he spoke to me but Im not having it! I tried to hear him out but he begin pointing at me and it was so bizarre, unprofessional and frankly disrepectful!! Again as I told him (in front of nearly 8 customers) I'm the customer and you want to debate me? That was poor judgement indeed!! I stayed calm and again told him he was wrong and simply told him to keep his merchandise and reminded him on my way out the door that if it was not for people like me coming in this store he would not have a job!! Stay far away from this place!!! The male foreigner showed me tonight who he really is!!! However I'm not that surprised because I suspected it a long time ago!!! I will never put myself in that situation again!! Because they clearly dont value the community just your money!! NEVER AGAIN! #besmart...

I used to live right beside this place 20 years ago, great little store, good people, I'm glad it's still around after...
