Lubber Run Community Center — Local services in Bailey's Crossroads

Beautiful Arlington County Parks & Rec. facility with covered parking garage that’s free if you’re out within 4 hours (Similar to Arlington Mill CC)… just not overnight. Senior programs, a child daycare program, large gymnasium with elevated indoor track weightlifting/fitness room, and the meeting space for birthday parties is wonderful, with a nice kitchenette. Plenty of WiFi here, and you can process payments for other Parks & Rec programs in-person here. I’ve been in the conference rooms for meetings, and it’s a great space, thought if you have multiple groups having simultaneous conversations, and the rooms can be noisy. The finish on the inside is beautiful aesthetic rustic in form, but very hi-tech in function

Outside, there's a great playground for kids, small fields, basketball/pickleball courts, and ADA-accessible trails, plus a connection to the Lubber Run trail and amphitheater, so it's easy to go on a hike, play basketball, and eat birthday cake here in one trip. This is a well-though-out space with loads of parking. I personally have been on several walks in the parks with my partner, and played catch with my kids outside. Excellent facility, not just for playing sports (basketball, tennis, volleyball, pickleball, badminton), but for kids (great playground outside, with a large net climber, a sand box and group swings, together with exciting hill slides) or social gatherings. The Community Center provides programs for youth, adults and seniors including a pre-school, senior center, gymnasium, fitness center, wellness studio and multi-purpose rooms you can book. Came from out of town for the weekend and stopped by here to play pickleball. Four courts available to play. Paddle system that works and is understood/respected by everyone. The other players were friendly and receptive to new players (quite a few regulars on the courts). I will say many players are higher level - lots of quick and strong rallying.
