Hollywood Feed — Local services in Bainbridge Township

I love pet people. I have been going to different locations over the years and I have been a customer for over 10 years now. I went to this location because is happens to be close to my parents house. While there I saw cute collars on sale but not in the size that I needed. I ask Chris up at the front if he could check another store for the collar in the size I needed. He replied with we don’t have it. Everything was out. I repeated that I was wondering if he could check another location for it. He said they don’t have one either. I then clarified I asked if he knew every store was out of the size collar I needed and he knew it off the top of his head. He said yes. So to double check if he understood said “you can’t check another stores inventory from your computer?”. He said “no, we do not have that capability”. I understand checking and then calling to verify their inventory is correct. But he said there is no way for him to help me. I called Rocky River and they had 2 in the size I needed. And on multiple occasions Rocky River has checked inventory of other stores for products. So I’m very aware he continued to lie to me. He didn’t even type anything in or try to help me. Addition to initial review: Store has cleaned up a lot. Better organized. However the dog wash is still dirty with lots of hair. Be prepared to clean it prior to use!

//—//—// Since changing their name from Pet People to Hollywood Feed, the cleanliness of the store has declined terribly. I pointed out pet urine in on the floor and the employee said okay but never cleaned it. I saw it after washing my pet. Supposedly the dog wash area was sprayed down but I saw ample brown scum on the metal door and pet hair on the walls. At the side of the dog wash was a yellow green plastic dog brush full of hair on the floor. Soap canisters empty. Two soap jugs were on the top of the wall, only one choice of soap to use. Hollywood Feed has the best customer service of any pet store chain hands-down. The sales associates are consistently helpful and knowledgeable, in every branch I've visited. The Hollywood Feed product lines are great, especially the freeze-dried treats. My dog loves them. The prices and return policy at HF are in line with other pet stores, especially during brand sales, which happen frequently....
