This panera is always a wreck. I repeatedly get awful service. More than once I've had cheese wrapper left on the sandwhich. The staff is rude and never helpful when you're asking a question.
Not too long ago, I came in and waited ten minutes for service not becuase they were busy, but becuase no one was behind the counter. Yes I understand that maybe your busy doing something in the back, but why can no one greet me and let me know that I'm not being ignored?
Once the cashier actually rang me up I ordered a strawberry poppyseed salad and asked for no bread or side. The cashier then proceeds to tell me my total, rings me up, and as he is handing me my receipt replies with "Wow you just paid 9 dollars for a salad, that's ridiculous" THE CASHIER SAID THIS TO ME. I'm continually confused by your customer service Panera. Today I decided to take my chances with your service becuase I really wanted a smoothie and it's a short walk from my place of employment. OF COURSE I waited ten minutes for a smoothie while I was the only customer being serviced. The cashier was too busy moving bagels around and cleaning the clean counter to make my smoothie so I could get on with my day. Did any of the other employees standing around ask what I was waiting for? Nope. Of course not. Am I surprised? Not at all. It's exactly what I would expect from you at this point: I disservice myself by trying to give you...

I generally stop at the Panera in Solon on my way to work and they are pretty consistent. During football Sunday, my wife asked me to go to Panera to get her a whole seared Steak and Arugala sandwich.
Since we live in Chagrin Falls, the ten minute drive is closer. There were very few patrons and at least 4-5 Panera employees working. Upon returning home with the one order that the Panera employees had to concentrate on, my wife took two or three bites and said, " I do not think there is any steak in this sandwich." She was correct, no steak in the steak sandwich. Lucky me had to return and waste another trip to the vacant Panera.
Upon giving the sandwich back, I noticed that the employee just plopped what looked like a shaved roast beef clump rather than seared steak on the same remaining sandwich. The manager and the employee did not even make an effort to: 1. Make a brand new sandwich 2. lay the meat so that it would cover the bread. or 3. Apologize. Below is the second half of the $10.00 sandwich. Yum doesn't it...
Read moreHours are always changing. Unpredictably closed when other locations are open. For instance the day before Labor Day AND Labor Day. Almost daily they just all of a sudden say they are not accepting online orders. How much time could that save? All that is doing is getting rid of customers that don’t want to wait in line. Is that the goal? I went in once and the door was open, people were coming in, two workers were behind the counter, people were eating in the restaurant, but when you went to the counter they told you they closed 45 minutes ago. The app will always say they are out of things like soufflés but if you go in a minute later there are several there. I asked a clerk why and they did not know. I understand they are having problems hiring, but pretty much all other locations seem to be handling these shortages better. I think it might be a management problem. Weird ideas to solve problems. I have complained to corporate. I love Panera, but will not go until they iron this out. They have been closing at 4pm all week. Losing all the...
