Eh.. first time and probably the last. We got there about 12:15. There was 1 other table of people that were almost done eating. It was freezing inside, which was a smidge irritating. I hate shivering while eating. But anyway, We all ordered and it took 40 mins to get our food. I'm not sure why it took so long being the only ones in the building who ordered. The food was, eh.. I got a Swiss mushroom burger. The "roasted" mushrooms are more so burnt than roasted, so I picked them all off. My husband got brisket and he wasn't overly thrilled about it. My son wouldn't eat his Mac and cheese kid meal which my son loves Mac and cheese, it seemed like it was left over from yesterday and microwaved. I wouldn't of eaten it either... My father and law got meatloaf and had to ask for BBQ twice and the mashed potatoes were brown? I know there's skin in there but it's like they had potatoes sitting out and then cooked it brown. No ketchup, couldn't find waiters or waitresses. (Probably in the back warming up) soda machine was down and was told that after receiving flat soda.

November 2020: While we often eat in at Cowboy, last weekend we held a surprise retirement party for my wife. It was "covid-outdoors" with heaters and such; Cowboy did the catering. Chef Steve did a wonderful job of suggesting appropriate finger foods and made my job as a husband so, so much easier. Lots of compliments from our guests, and it was just the right amount. September 2022: We ate in the outside area tonight. Beautiful weather, great company. We really enjoyed our food. I asked for a salad with grilled salmon on top. It was delicious, perfectly done salmon.

It's a cool little restaurant that has lots of food choices. I went here for the first time ever with my grandparents and I really enjoyed it. We got pretzels + fondue for our appetizer which was super yummy and very enjoyable. For my main course, I got a chicken melt which was phenomenal. Overall, the experience was great and our server was very nice as well. I'll be sure to come back soon!

We have eaten here twice. Once on Labor Day and once yesterday. The first visit our waitress was a little slow and a little prompt but she appeared to be the only one working and she did take our orders correctly, refilled drinks, and was helpful.

The food was good. Slightly over sauced (ask for the sauces on the side and they’ll bring you out a a caddy with multiple options). Our kid’s order was complex but she delivered perfectly. Balloon animals on Monday was a nice touch and sold the kids on coming back.

Yesterday was different. Our waitress was friendly but frazzled. She mumbled something at one point about just being a day shift person...I don’t think the menu changes at night though...She was slow to come to the table and got the drink orders wrong. We ordered appetizers which were wrong. Stay away from the stadium nachos which were cold, flavorless, and undercooked. Picture generic chips with unmelted shredded cheese and left over chicken like you used to make in your dorm room. The wings were fattier and less rendered than they were on the first trip. They were a highlight so this was very disappointing.

3/4 of the dinner orders were wrong in some way. Mine was completely missing 1/2 a chicken. This time around the ribs were tough and chewy and the smoke on everything was overpowering. To add insult to injury she forgot it was 1/2 price wing night and so she had to correct the bill.

We’re from the south and really miss this kind of food in OH (that is close by). We will try it again (and add or subtract another star) but honestly the lack of consistency and wait staff you see in reviews...

I rarely do reviews, and most always those few I do, are positive. This one however, let's call educational. This evening we made an infrequent appearance at Cowboy. We live closer to town where there are many places for a dinner after work . But for fun and diversity we chose Cowboy tonight for the first time in about a year. I wanted to see the Belmont Stakes and we knew they had TV's. Our wait person was young, energetic, friendly and pleasant, call him "G." EVERYTHING was great, but for one thing. The Saturday special is prime rib. I discussed with G that I liked rare prime rib, and since it was early in the evening, there should be rare prime rib available. G explained that since the meat was smoked, the doneness is controlled by the amount of time the meat is heated in the au jus before coming to the table. I ordered the prime rib Saturday special and repeated that I would like it RARE. The main course was served and after a few bites of meat I could tell that it was not rare, but in fact was very well done. I flipped the cut of meat over and discovered my piece was the end cut! How could an end cut, of standing rib roast, ever be rare? When G came over I explained this to him. G offered to have someone from the kitchen come out to discuss this. G came back and said the explanation was given to him, for him to pass it on to me. He said that since the meat was smoked, all the cuts were the same doneness. So, if you want your prime rib rare or even medium rare, DO NOT order prime rib...

This was the worst experience I've had at any resteraunt in a long time. We eat here semi regularly and have come back because the staff was friendly, the food was ok, and they don't fry fish. My wife is very allergic and if she eats food cooked in oil that cooks fish we have to stab her with a needle. This time the waitress was rude and dismissive, she obviously wasn't listening when we told here that we came here tonight because it's ash Wednesday and there is no fried fish on the menu. We ordered appetizers and couldn't get her attention again until after the appetizers came out. We tried to chat about what she would recommend and she hadn't tried some of it and had no opinion, found out that my wife can't eat the appetizers, and ordered our food. Two of our three meals were inedible. My daughter got the chili and it was acidic and bitter to the point that I wouldn't eat it and I am a good eater. My wife got the beef brisket that came out small dry and bland. The cornbread that came with the brisket was good, the tater tots were fine ( my daughter traded me her chili for those), and I ended up with a mushroom swiss bison burger that I would eat again. The chili was unsalvageable. We cooked when we got home. What a complete waste of time and money. I may stop back for a burger some day, but I will never take anybody...
