Party City — Local services in Bakersfield

I love this store, just wish I had more money when I went in there sometimes. I got a floto and it was awesome. But full disclosure they are 19.99 plus tax and the number balloons are $13 a piece. It's a material in the front and a silver mylar back you can put text on it and one photo or a collage of 6 pics. You just email them your photos and wait bout ten minutes and it's ready. The email address is at the register but I'm sure you can go online and pee oder but they wont print it till you pay. Fog machine is around 60 and solution around 15-20 and they have the helium tanks. I mean the helium tanks are at Walmart as well but idk bout now cuz of the pandemic. But well worth getting if you are doing lots of balloons at one event or just have a birthday to celebrate one month at a time. It has a close and open nozzle to be able to keep helium for as long as you need. You could even make bouquets or arched or balloon strings for family and friends. Some things are outrageous and some are super cheap. One of the places in town that has Nerds Ropes and airhead minni's for cheap. Right now airheads three flavors are 10 for a $1 and the have cake tons for a dollar(no shape) but if you have a party and forgot to pick them up at dollar tree or market and you go to get decorations or balloons party city gets you. My mother went to party city today and was in the checkout line, but at a distance from a man at a counter. My mother noticed that there was something going on at the counter with a man and an employee. My mom then noticed that the man was struggling to speak English. My mom then noticed that the employee was not listening to him and walked away. The employee did not go to ask a coworker/manager for help or did not ask anyone in line if they knew Spanish, so the worker instead ignored the man and asked my mom if she needed help. My mom proceeded to tell the worker that the man in front of her was next, the worker rudely told my mom that she doesn’t know what he’s saying. My mom told her that she could try to translate for him. The man was super grateful for the help because he was in shock as to why the worker just ignored him. 3 employees were just wandering around the aisles doing literally nothing. I came for something specific and couldn’t find it. After I looked myself, I went to see if I could get help and they turned their faces away from me. No other customers. Wasn’t doing inventory. They ignored both me and my mom and none of them asked if we needed help. The cashier was actually kind and asked if we found everything ok. I got the baby shower plates I needed from there and then went out of my way to go to the dollar store a few stores away for all my other things I could have gotten at Party City.
