Love Sushi — Restaurant in Bakersfield

Honestly it was soo disappointing. We placed an order for pick up and now we know will never order again from this place. Food was terrible, definitely not fresh! Fish tasted old, avocado was black and the sauce was oily. Overall the food was not appealing at all, I mean, just look at the picture. We were trying to find a good sushi spot to eat and this is not it.

EDIT: The response to my review was wrong. We are big sushi lovers and we know the importance of eating fresh sushi, it is IMPOSSIBLE we took over an hour to pick it up when we live in Bakersfield, this is not Los Angeles. We also live very close to the spot. We also never got a call about us not picking it up that is a LIE! We have order from many other places and never had this issue. I can't recall if the review was made the same day we made the order or the following day but I know for sure we wouldn't take over an hour to pick up sushi, that is just plain stupid. We spent over $100 for sushi that we didn't even finish. I would recommend Bocados Sushi Bar instead. My wife ordered over the phone one forever roll and some Philadelphia rolls. I mistakenly (as a none sushi enthusiast) dug into my wife's forever roll thinking she ordered a vegetarian roll as it had no meat in it, or fish, depending on your definition. We called love's Sushi on California to inform them that the roll had no fish in it. They told my wife to come back, sounds good so far right? When I walked in, being brown in origin because I'm Native American, the waiter who was red haired and white told me because I was brown I didnt understand what the roll should taste like. To add to insult, he told me because of you people trying to take advantage of us, we will need your order next time as proof that "we" (the restaurant) messed up. I simply replied that my wife and I will not be returning. This is a racist...

The owner Jacob was very rude as soon as we walked into the door he looked at us with an unpleasant look on his face, as we sat down he took our order with a rude tone of voice. I ordered two Ichi rolls and two Hawaiian rolls. Later on as we were eating I was enjoying the food with my folks as we were laughing and talking, minutes later he came out of the kitchen area and stood by the cash register and was staring at me angrily, I stopped eating and told him what was the problem and he came up to me and said WHAT?! I laughed, and I stood up and told him what was his problem and why is he screaming at his customers? all he said was something in Korean with a mad expression and told us leave his restaurant and never come back. I have no idea what was wrong with him but that guy needs some serious help, Very horrible...
