West Coast Sourdough - Bakersfield — Restaurant in Bakersfield

I've been wanting to try this place for awhile now. We went on a Wednesday around 7pm. They weren't busy and the place looked so clean. I loved the country music playing. The young lady at the register was kind and helpful with the menu since it was our first time. Our food came out quickly as well. The first thing I noticed were the sandwhiches looked picture ready. The bread was toasted and delicious. With my sandwhich the American cheese reminded me of off brand singles so next time I won't be getting American cheese. But my sandwhich was delicious! I saved my salad for lunch the next day, I had to use my house ranch since they only give you a little container of dressing. I had a bite of my husband's roast beef, it was good. My husband did not care for the clam chowder, it did have a strong aroma. We just won't get the clam chowder again. I would love to return and try something different. Everything...

Definitely excited when this place first opened. The previous times I've been here customer service can be hit or miss (that's why i gave a 4 instead of 5) but it is Bakersfield and I've gotten use to it. My orders have been on point luckily when ordering either to go or dine in. The most recent experience about a month ago was great. The employee gave great customer service and she was very helpful in answering our questions. Long story short we didn't feel like driving to the coast for bread bowl clam chowder. I added cheddar cheese in mine and my bf ordered his with cheddar cheese and bacon (do have to pay extra which I was fine with). Sandwiches are pricey, it's not like subway where you can add a lot of veggies. It does cost extra when adding more items on your sandwich so please don't be hesitant to ask questions when ordering especially if it's...

Very nice, beautiful decor new sandwich shop. Ordered three sandwiches to go and a cup of clam chowder. Two of the sandwiches were turkey, both kids said they were very good. My son said the soup was pretty good. I ordered the pastrami with pepper Jack cheese, it was pretty good. I was disappointed that you are paying top dollar for these sandwiches and such a small amount of meat. The sandwiches would of been excellent with more meat. I realize you can buy extra meat, but, these are already expensive sandwiches. Your pre-measured amount of meat is too skimpy. I also bought a cookie 🍪, it was excellent. The employees I talked to were all nice...
