If you're going to buy furniture here, I highly recommend smelling inside of it first. Especially if it's a dresser. I bought a $250 dresser that looks really nice on the outside but smells very strongly men's cologne on the inside. I intended to use this for my baby's clothes so it smelling strongly like cologne is not a nice thing. I've tried everything I could find on the internet to get the smell out but it still is there. Now I have a dresser thats useless to me. When I clean the drawers out there was glitter and stuff in them and behind the drawers was a lot of dust. It was not cleaned but just painted on the outside. Things I have tried to get the smell out: vinegar, all purpose cleaner, rubbing alcohol, gel odor absorbers, setting outside for over a month to air out, sanding and resealing. Otherwise it's been a total loss and I'll have to resell to someone who doesn't mind the smell. We've had to invest time , money, products into this dresser I didn't and wouldn't have if I had known what a pain it would be. Just want others to be aware this is the...
Read moreI LOVE this place! The She Shed is probably my favorite place to get beautifully upcycled furniture, or clothes, home decor, jewelry, even just inspiration for my own home. I usually go on Sunday afternoon with my mom yes, they're open on Sunday! đ I've purchased so many furniture pieces for my home, and I absolutely love all of it! The ladies there are so nice Kalae, (the owner), Donni, Stormi, Linda, and all the others. Things are always being changed around, so it's different each time we go in. Last year they had a Christmas party that was super fun! Bakersfield has a lot of thrift stores, and vintage stores, but The She Shed is truly unique. I highly recommend visiting ~...
Read moreThe She Shed is an absolute delightâbeautifully curated with a cozy, vintage charm that instantly puts you in a good mood. Every corner feels thoughtfully arranged, like a little treasure hunt through time. I found the sweetest Peanuts VHS tapes, a charming little frog figurine, and an adorable mushroom plush that I just couldnât leave without. The woman running the shop (possibly the owner) was a joy to chat withâwarm, welcoming, and clearly passionate about what she does. Itâs the kind of place that makes you want to slow down and savor every shelf. Iâll...
