I attended a Condors game last week. Or tried to. As someone who has limited mobility but doesn't qualify for a wheelchair, the experience was close to horrible. I am very rarely able to get to the games, so I can't remember how the sections are arranged. When I asked an arena employee, she told me to go the wrong way. I was already in pain due to the walk from my car. Seeing no seats in the immediate area, I started walking anyway. The lack of chairs despite the presence of tables and food vendors eventually drove me into a "family bathroom" to try and rest. Then I discovered the noise level in there. The announcer sounded like he was right in my ear. How a parent is expected to change a diaper while their child's ears are being blasted like that is beyond me. I was so tired by then that I gave up entirely on the game.
As a further note about the seating, too much of what I found was only fit for skinny teenagers to use. The one table I saw that could accommodate someone with mobility problems was hidden against a wall and occupied by a small family with a child too young to be put on a high stool with no safety straps. I didn't begrudge them the choice of using it. I just had to keep walking instead.
I gave this review two stars because the staff was very pleasant to deal with. Even the woman who got the layout wrong was at least nice about it. And the place is clean. But unless I can attend in a wheelchair or my health improves, I can't see any reason for me to torture myself again by returning. The management clearly thinks its audience is 100% able-bodied...
Read moreRecently went there for a concert and the bathrooms seem to be absolute chaos. First off there's only two bathrooms from there there is no type of security standing outside to ensure that the correct people are entering the restroom. Entire groups of women were entering the men's restroom cutting the line and calling themselves transgender in order to use the men's restroom. That is absolutely disgusting and the fact that this establishment doesn't do anything to prevent the protection of folks who might actually be trans or those actual women who could have been assaulted in the men's restroom because they chose to enter it and endanger themselves. I informed personnel this was occurring and they said they couldn't do anything about it. That is absurd and they should look out for the safety of people attending events. If you are a woman who is not trans and uses the men's bathroom claiming you are when you're dressed in a mini skirt and tube top you are putting yourself in danger and you're also ruining legitimacy of trans people. Be a better person use the restroom that you're supposed to use. Mechanics Bank arena you should have personnel standing outside the restrooms to ensure that folks are using the correct bathrooms as they identify as. It's very easy to tell if someone is trans or not these people were female they were skinny girls in tiny skirts in tube tops entering the men's restroom. That is extremely...
Read moreI went to the Carrie Underwood concert. Granted I had nosebleed seats but we had no view of Carrie. I felt like I was watching her on tv. Cause we only seen her on the screens. I would rather look at her teeny tiny than the screens this is the third time I’ve seen her. The other two times the screens were behind the stage. Even though I can’t afford front row tickets I believe we should see as much of her as possibles it’s still a lot of money to watch her on screens. Also the people in the row in front of us standing and dancing through the whole thing. The first 3 songs we tried to ask them to sit they said they were not sitting down. We advised them to stand at the bottom so we could see. They did after argument pursued. But management told them to go to their seats they told them we asked them to stand there. Management came to us and told us they had the right to stand and dance through the whole thing If they want. What about our right to see at least the screens. Management finally after my son missed the first songs explained his wife could barely walk due to a back injury much less try to stand agreed to let the girls stay where they were. It ruined our night to have young girls who have no respect arguing and not caring about...
