This place has improved greatly over the years and recently experienced a transformation and renovation and it is highly regarded and respected in the Holland Park Penn North Community as a community landmark it is a wonderful place to eat with Nanny food Sanders and great food selections all of the vendors and their employees have wonderful personalities and excellent customer service skills not to mention the food is very very good at all the Stalls it has a good family relaxing atmosphere and it looks very quaint inside I recommend this place if you looking for a place to grab some food or even a nice platter they also have a financial services location inside where you can cash checks play the lottery get money orders and other things such as that overall is a very great location to meet up and enjoy eating and relaxing. Went to Mary’s Kitchen because it was so packed over there, so I assumed the food was good. Well I then realized it was the only place that was still open taking orders because the Avenue Market was closing. I ordered a Cheese Steak with everything lite hots. American and provolone cheese. It came up to 6.50. Got the sub, drive home and unwrapped it to find this small sub sitting before me with barely any steak in it. It was more lettuce than anything. Then the dumb dumb put American cheese on side and provolone on the other. 🤦🏽‍♂️ Lesson learned here is to never trust a place because it’s crowded especially during closing time. People were desperate and hungry, so they settled! Three Stars only because the lady taking my order was awesome. Great customer service. The cooks however gets 2 stars!! Boycott Mary's Kitchen for their horrible service! Black woman whom works for Mary's Kitchen was very rude, did not listen to my order and did not care about her companies reputation. I ordered a fried fish combo for $7.75 and only received the sandwich. When I addressed the situation, she then tells me that I can pay extra for the combo. I declined and walked away, I came back asking for my refund. She tells me that they do not do refunds, I told her that I got a refund last time and asked where does it say that you do not do refunds. She had to remove items in order for her to show me; thus it was not visible to the customer. I told her that I will never return and eat at there ever again. She shrugged her shoulders as I walked away. If I had the power, I would shut down the business and/or have her fired but for now; I am boycotting...
