Giant Food — Local services in Baltimore

Whole experience was completely underwhelming. First the location is one of the sketchiest places I've ever gone. DON'T GO AFTER DARK, that's for sure. The parking lot WILL make you lose any remaining faith in humanity you may have as nobody knows how to drive and you will be approached by several people looking for $$$ The store has 1 entrance which is an awful idea as you have to wait to even get in. The store is cramped with barely enough room for 2 people to get down the aisles. That's exacerbated by employees and vendors leaving shopping carts and stacks of food at 90º angles to block as much of the aisle as possible. The lines are extra long because the never have enough people and the woman working self check out is very rude. She'll go around touching all your items but refusing to help bag even if there's nothing else for her to do. The customer service and PNC area always has a line of 5+ people and makes the entrance and check out area extremely crowded. The self check out machines also feel the need to be on the highest possible volume which adds to the overall loudness and din of this location. Not to mention Giant usually charges higher prices for items the only reason going is good sales. However when I went the item I wanted wasn't in stock and when I mentioned that to someone they shrugged, said sorry and walked away. I definitely don't recommend...

DO NOT USE THIS PHARMACY! It's clear the employees don't like their jobs and do not care about the customers. The woman upfront blantantly violates HIPPA by yelling PHI of multiple people. They do not respects people's time. I had an appt for 12:15pm and arrived at 11:45am. After they claimed they "never received" my online paperwork, which occurred with 6 other people after me; I wasn't seen until an hour later, to get a shot that takes less than 30 seconds to give. The other employees literally just stand there looking at the computer screens. I understand other task are being done. However, if you have over 10 people waiting in line, over 10 people "waiting" to be seen, and 4 employees with only one working upfront...it's clear that nobody cares and this is just a paycheck to them. Will NEVER use the pharmacy again.

Shopping here overall is ok. They barely have food most days. Sometimes they look like they're going out...

I was really disappointed in Giants customer service. I approached a lane to check out and the associate expressed her lane was closed. However, the only lanes available were the self serve. Mind you, it was still early about 815pm. I waited and waited until a manager could see the line getting longer before he decided to open another lane. I am appalled at the treatment African Americans receive or accept when patronizing an establishment. I am a secret shopper but wasn't on call for this establishment this night. Had I been, I would have failed giant for their inability to act quicker to open another lane for better customer service. In fact, African Americans tolerate too much. The moment customers were 3 deep, a lane should've been opened. Giant, you must do better. Consequently, this is the worst customer experience I have ever had in a giant...
