Tropical Smoothie Cafe — Restaurant in Baltimore

Today I ordered two Mango Magic smoothies ($7.69 each). I added the Spinach & Kale Super Pack ($1.00) to both and Peanut Butter ($1.29) to one of them. After tax, my total came to $22.53, which already felt a bit high, but I went ahead and paid.

The cashier didn’t hand me a receipt, so I grabbed it myself. That’s when I noticed two charges for an “Energizer” ($1.29 each). I asked what that was, and he seemed confused. He went to the register, then lifted a tablet out of one of the ingredient containers. I asked, “You put a pill in my drinks?” but he didn’t respond—he just continued making them.

It feels like they may be adding this “energy” pill without asking, since it doesn’t really affect the taste, and without a receipt most people probably wouldn’t notice the charge.

I didn’t make a scene, but I won’t be returning to this location. I’ll stick with the Pikesville...

Customer service is horrible. I ordered from the tropical smoothie app did not receive my food. I called the restaurant to get them to remake my order so I can pick it up. The ladies that answered the phone did not speak English so they could not understand what I was saying. They hung up on me multiple times instead of giving someone the phone they could understand English a little better. They did the same thing a few months ago with my order. I didn’t receive it. I called and told them I didn’t get it. The lady that I spoke to told me to come and get my food I told my friend to go pick it up and as soon as he got there, he said the manager said I couldn’t get my food because I took too long to report not getting my food but I reported it to the lady that was working there and I reported it to the app but my report that I sent to a different tropical...

So my issue was they let a dasher touch all of the food that was on the counter because they was so busy joking and not paying him attention! No I don’t have a issue with the joking but I felt like they should have offered to replace my food or bag at least because his arm was in a cast and I walked in because I don’t like many touching my food. The great thing was Angela did help me out with a straw and she got me any condiment I asked for without a complaint and no I wasn’t being difficult! Y’all they don’t have blueberries to make certain smoothies! Taste ya smoothie before you leave because not everyone makes them good. They will add watery ice instead of getting more ice.
