Julie is really terrific & her work is top notch. I found her recently on an online neighborhood group. I never had a professional pedicure out of some personal anxieties, but I felt comfortable immediately. The space is quiet and easy to relax in, it's a room in back of Ma Petite Shoe on 36th St.. literally you walk thru the shop & her space is in back. The chair is comfy and cushy. She was great at helping me choose what I wanted & it turned out really be beautifully. She used Mount Royal brand products (a great Baltimore soap, etc company), which I am a HUGE fan of... Julia McCabe is a nail care genius! My nails were super weak from regular gel because of self-inflicted damage (ie, I used to peel the gel off) plus the damage caused by soaking or filing thebgel off. To stop myself from peeling, I switched to powder dip, but then my nails started breaking because the powder dip was brittle and lacked flexibility. When I went to Julia at GlamaGrrl, she recommended a structured manicure using builder gel, and that's been amazing! It's too strong for me to peel, but flexible enough to avoid breaking. Julia is amazing and her work is always done to perfection. I cannot recommend her enough. The picture I added is my manicure she did after almost one month there is not a single chip or crack and I cook and wash pots and pans every single day.
