I visited Harvest Fare Wabash today and felt like a second class citizen. After giving them my hard earned money, I was not allowed to push a cart to my car. The gate was locked. I asked how to I get my groceries to the car and I was told to leave my groceries and go get my car. He further explained that the gate was locked because people steal the carts. So I asked who are these people and do they steal groceries also. He obviously didnāt understand why I asked the question because he said all the time. So I stated so Harvest Fare only care about their carts and not their customers. Itās okay if the āpeopleā steal my groceries, when I leave to get my car, as long as they donāt steal the cart. He didnāt answer, but he didnāt need to, the answer to my question is Yes. Harvest is too cheap to purchase carts with the stop wheel so the black community just has to deal with it. I am tired of spending my money with small or large businesses they blatantly ļæ¼disrespect me. Harvest Fare keep your cart and the Black community needs to keep their money.
I was at Harvest Fare on December 19, 2020 at about 7:30 p.m. I spent $288.00 in the store. The prices were pretty good, however Vicki, Manager of the Cashiers is unprofessional and disrespectful I am not sure who she is use to dealing with but I work to hard to spend my money in an establishment that does not know how to address their customers. I picked up 5 banquet pot pies, the sign stated Banquet Pot pies 5 for $5. When I get to the register, it rang up $2.59 each. When I inquired about the price, I was told I needed to compare the ounces of the product. I would understand if it was only 5 of them by the sign, but it was at least a case. So clearly who ever stocked the shelf, put the wrong sign in front of the product. I was told that I needed to read all of the sign, as if I worked for Harvest Fare. It is not my job to walk around Harvest to ensure that all of the signs are completely correct. Cleary Ms. Vicki needs additional management training on good customer service. She refused to give me the product for the price it was displayed for and was very rude about it. I left Harvest Fare after giving them my hard earn money as a dis-satisfied customer, who will think twice before I shop...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreIt's sad that this area sells food to customers that are clearly shot up with hormones, no labels on the meat, the dates on the food are shotty and please be aware of the meat section. A surprise inspection and a real inspection, not something or someone that gets paid to say, it's okay, should be done. There is never a way to park your car to get the food that you've purchased, because people consistently park in the fire lane and run in and spend a lot of time taking their time getting their food, therefore disabilling and preventing other customers from coming out and someone pulling up to help them put their food in the car. Unacceptable outside behavior. Why doesn't the fire department or security consistently come there and make people move and ticket, those vehicles. The outside staff or security if there is any isn't doing their job. The elderly suffer and other customers. This makes the traffic in front of the market horrible. Some of the cars parked in the fire lane are the employee's. I sat there and watched. I will take pictures next time. I mostly go for the seafood. I bought milk there and the milk had gone bad a week before the date that was on the 2% milk. It's a horrible thing to go to a market that doesn't care about its customers and consumers and their food intake. It's a desperate community that is in need of a market that cares. Its sad that people will buy some of those meat products because of the lack of education and desperate need for food. The fact that they are allowed to sell bad products mind blowing. The food should be prayed over and thought out very carefully before you buy any meat in the store. A lot of reputable name brands cannot be found at this store. Stick to giants or safeway, or whole Foods.
Still the seafood is a good selection. But know what your buying when it comes to crab meat. Shout out to the fish department. The fish is normally great! Nice seafood selection. Their employees are kind...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI read the reviews prior to going to this grocery store. If I went by the reviews I'm not sure if I would of actually gone when I did. Which was Friday after work. I was going to go Saturday morning around 8 am. I arrive to Harvest Fare around 5:30 pm on a Friday. Parking lot had plenty of parks in which I didn't mind walking. I got my grocery cart and list and began my shopping experience. I had my shopping list in which I ventured off from the list slightly and got other items at a great price. Everything was fully stocked and I did check out the seafood department in which I was surprised to see it was set up like an actual deli counter in which you get a ticket. Their seafood appeared fresh. I also noticed that they did have a deli department as well. I didn't need any items from this area so I just looked at their items. I was shocked on their deal for the chicken legs 20 lbs. box, however that was too much for me to get. Overall their prices to me were great without even having coupons. I brought 43 items including all types of meat for only $75. The store was not crowded and if the aisle was tight you can leave your cart out of the way and grab your item. Customer service was great and the associates throughout the store were friendly. I had a great experience. I would definitely recommend this store to any type of person that is looking to save money. I will be returning and maybe start collecting coupons so I can save some money. Sometimes you can't always go by customer reviews and take that chance to try it out...
