I bought a dining room set for $700 on a Saturday. I paid $400 in cash and $300 on my debit card, the delivery man who apparently also works there as a salesmen???!!, changed the store's copy of the transaction to read "Not paid in Full" and claimed that he FORGOT to get the cash from me! I asked him about delivering the set that day (delivery was $70.00) and he said he would, but did not. I called the delivery number on Monday to be advised by a rep. that there was a problem with my order and to call the store, which I did. The manager informed me that he was not going to deliver my set because I still owed them $400.00. The lying thief of a salesman/delivery man, changed the store's copy of the transaction to "Not Paid in Full", after I left, while my transaction/receipt said "Paid in Full"), Note the one word change. He pocketed the cash and claimed that he became distracted???? and forgot to get the $400 cash!!! The owner of this place advised this idiot of a manager that they HAD to give me the set because of my receipt. It was finally delivered by another delivery man but of course with out the table and screws. They refused to deliver the table and I had to pay someone $40 to pick up the table and never got the screws. The Manager of this place was rude, arrogant and apparently in love with his delivery man or something to believe such a ridiculous and outrageous lie that I didn't pay for the set in full. I paid him the cash first and then he debited my card for the rest! In fact, I wasn't driving at the time, and stood on the bus stop on the corner from the store (on Kirk Ave) after my transaction for almost 20 minutes (some get away huh) and was never approached about the alleged incomplete transaction. STAY AWAY FROM THIS LOCATION!
This is an amendment to John the manager that responded to my complaint. This incident occurred the summer of 2009. The sales person/delivery man wore dreads, was dark complexioned with a skinny face and drove a red truck. Read moreIf I could give this company no stars I would very unprofessional ,very delayed ,very mis informative lack of costumer service skills and the list goes on and on I decided to treat myself to a new bedroom set after 10 years and why oh why did I choose here . They were ok when it came to items being picked but once it came to delivery the items I had to wait out a week later to receive my new bedroom set I never was told in store they don’t assemble your Funiture once it’s delivered . I found out once they delivered the items they couldn’t. they couldn’t get all the Funiture up the stairs while in boxes and claim they didn’t have time for me to open the boxes for them to take the items up out the boxes . so they left my head board down stairs in my living room area ,I found out only once they got to my home that my two night stands were on back order and i had to wait an addition week to receive those only to receive those the following Wednesday (that I had to call off work for ) cause they didn’t have a Monday available when I was actually scheduled off . The drivers delivered the items weds morning literally drop the items off to the designated area and stormed out of my home . as soon as I locked the door of my home I went in my room to unwrap the night stands to discover both were shattered and broken . I called the driver back and he told me he couldn’t come back to pick the items up he wasn’t in the area anymore after literally just leaving my home not even 5 mins later . I’ve been contacting them for a week now trying to get these items replaced or my funds back and no one has reached back out .they keep saying the costumer service manager Melody will call me back and she hasn’t , I emailed the Company ,called the company ,even text the costumer service number and haven’t heard back anything . I was giving wrong information in regards to the first email from one of the store members there . My mother is moving to Baltimore and she needs updated furniture for her whole house. I live about 2 hours away and I thought this was going to be a very daunting task and it was EASY from start to finish. My sister and I went to check out the selection at this location and fell in love with the furniture. On that particular day we were just comparing different stores... nothing compared in the area. We also met Sheena that day and she gave us the pricing we were inquiring about and even offered for us to call her on her cell phone with any questions and to possibly do the transaction over the phone since she knew I lived so far.
A couple of days passed and I wanted to go back. I reached out to Sheena with the questions I had before I decided to take the long drive back to the store. She alerted the manager that I was coming back. When I got there I met Keona (manager) and Maliyah (sales). Maliyah took her time with me, followed me around the store writing down my order as went along while making suggestions and checking on pricing as we went along. She made it the SMOOTHEST large purchase I have ever had to make. She captured everything I said in one shot! Then Keona made sure the order was correct, & assured me that I would have the delivery date (including set up) that I needed.
