The Gift — Restaurant in Baltimore

So this is my first time trying this restaurant tonight. I ordered my food I was told it would take about 20 minutes. It took more like 40 minutes. To receive my food. That was kind of the first thing that disappointed me but I said I get it it's only one or two people working there so that's fine. Second as I was watching my food be prepared through the blinds in the restaurant. I noticed gloves were not being used AT ALL! When I asked the manager about it she said that they have three boxes of gloves back there and they do use gloves (So you didn't for my order😒) and she said that the only thing she didn't use gloves for was to transfer the fries into the box. But I was watching her the ENTIRE TIME! Not at any point were there gloves being used! She even took fries out of one of my boxes and put them into another box with bare hands! Put ketchup and mustard on my son's burger and the bread on top of the the meat, still NO GLOVES. When I mention this to her she says OK OK pretty much cutting me off very rudely and not having anything else to say about the situation. So I threw my food away I spent $32 for nothing like I explained to her germs is covid-19 is REAL. She is taking people's payments at the cash register but yet also you're going in the back preparing food with no gloves! DmDID YOU EVEN WASH YOUR HANDS?? She tried to make it seem like I was in the wrong for asking but It does not matter. I'm sure if the health department knew about that it would be a problem I don't know if the food is good or not and I'll never...

LATE REVIEW (I apologize). Yes, yes, yessss 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥. This hit everything that it was supposed to 🎯. Not ONE complaint found. I drove 45 min to try it. And it was everything the people have said about THE GIFT. I got the Fried Fish Sandwich Combo (w/lettuce tomato & America). Seasoned & crispy. Uuugh. I want one RN! The customer service was welcoming & quick. **THE WAIT TIME some have encountered...in the restaurant industry DUMMIES there is a thing called lunch & dinner rush. 🙄😒🙄 It's just like RUSH HOUR TRAFFIC. Yes if you go during those times.....duh OF COURSE you will wait. I was in & out with FRESH FISH & FRIES in 20 min. And I got the marble cake with the cream cheese frosting. I wasn't a fan of it. I went here for lunch today. I got there 45 minutes early. There was a line building up. It was worth every minute of the wait. I only wish I would have gotten 2 plates. I had the catfish sandwich with everything on it. It was amazing and worth the Hype!!!! I also got the pepper steak over yellow rice with sweet potatoes and mac n cheese. That was heavenly. I need that again I wish I bought 2 plates because my wife took half when she was only supposed to sample it. The service was great, very friendly people. please be patient with them they are getting their shine right now and there will most likely be a line around the corner. I'll be back tomorrow ......
