Went to Giant Eagle to get robbed yet again. I walk through a normal Entrance/Exit. The door I always walk through says EXIT ONLY. So I test this theory. I literally get chased and BARKED at by a employee. Shes tries to talk over me so I say ma'am I need to speak to you manager. Manager comes by 2 minutes later. I ask her politely is this entrance changed to an exit due to the government regulations or Giant Eagle regulations? She begins to tell me about social distancing etc etc and nit pick my common sense and after 3 or 4 minutes would not answer my simple polite question. I said ma'am I understand what your saying I just refuse to support a business with such antics of fear, she said that is your right. I also said is Acme practicing the same regulations? No answer just more social distancing talk which negates the fact that in aisles we are coughing on each other.. But thats ok? You have got to be kidding me.. so controlled by fear that our own sound judgment goes right out the window... we are creating panic and fear with no sense of common sense. STOP TREATING US ALL AS IF WE ARE STUPID! This does not pass the common sense challenge! I am now a new customer of Acme unless their antics are the same psychotic garbage way of anti common sense. I shall see soon lol to giant eagle i kindly thank you for spreading fear to we the people! Shame on you, you corporate monsters controlled by fear that your now forcing on patrons! Esentually your employee knew the policy was ridiculous and fear ruled but couldn't even say the words to a logically spoken patron. Manager name is Julie btw. I may suggest if you want people to feed into fear and place that on the shoulders of patrons that you find someone who can speak better about non sense. Come in one door over there to stop crossing paths and risk walking through cars in a parking lot but are aisles are completely sanitized so you can cross paths there no problem... ๐๐คฃ๐๐คฆโโ๏ธ wow...wow....wow...wow...wow... I pray this review has the inpact is should especially for running me out of your...
ย ย ย Read moreI would NOT recommend the Barberton Giant Eagle to anyone. Every time I go there (which is pretty often) there has only been 2 registers open. Last weekend I was there and it was really busy, yet only 2 registers were open, and the people on the registers were new hires with less than 1 month service. They were so overwhelmed, yet no one would come help them out. I was the 5th person in line, and everyone in front of me, looked like they were doing shopping for the whole month. Their carts were FULL. Yet I saw 2 (what i call) managers standing around b.s.ing and didnt offer to help any. The 1 manager did come over and told the cashier to pick it up some. Why didn't the manager get on a register and help get rid of the lines? I can honestly say that EVERYONE in my line was frustrated with the long lines and how slow the checkouts were, just by the comments they were saying. Most people go shopping on Fri or Sat, yet ONLY 2 registers are open. Pretty stupid, I think. I just returned from there again (5-4-2018). Only 2 registers were open again, and the lines were 7-9 deep, with most people having full carts, again. The 8 items or less lane was open, but when your cart is full, you can't go thru it. The self serves were open but i dont think most people know how to work them. By the time I got home, my Breyers ice was more melted than frozen. Thanks Giant Eagle. If I wanted a milkshake, I would go to the ice cream stand. The Barberton Giant Eagle is a big joke anymore. I'm gonna take my business to the G-E on Waterloo and Brown. A little farther to drive, but the service is like night and day. It is run soooooo much better. Like I stated earlier, the Barb. Giant Eagle is one big joke anymore. I would not recommend it to any one. It is not even worthy of a 1 star rating. It's a big joke!!! They wouldnt take my comments unless a gave it at least one โ, even though to me, they don't...
ย ย ย Read moreCan I enter negative stars? Why do I have to give you a star just to be able to post? Today was my last visit to Giant Eagle Barberton. I have spent between $150 and $250 a week there for more then 20 years. I have been a little aggravated in the past year watching the check-out lines turn to check yourself out. Then only having a couple cashiers available and having to be 5 to 10 in front of you to check out. Seems I spend more time in line to check out then actually shopping. Today was the straw that sent me over the edge. My 20 year old son was with me and while we were standing in the long line to check out I asked him to go over and cash my $20 scratch off lottery ticket winner. He came back saying he didn't have his ID and they wouldn't cash it. I switched places with him and went over to do it myself. The very rude older lady working the counter told me I couldn't cash it because my son had just tried? What is that? My son is 20 and looks like 25 and I am 50. I asked to speak with a manager. After having a meeting with this disgruntled lady he said he could not make her cash the ticket? The manager said she had called the Ohio Lottery. Over a $20 winning ticket? He told me to go to their gas station? Not only did I not go to your gas station. You have lost a customer for good. Where has Customer Service gone in this world?
See you...
