The Original Peppe & Luigis — Restaurant in Barberton

I wanted to try a new pizza place tonight so figured I would try this place. The lady who took my order over the phone was very nice, but didn't know the sizes of the pizzas and when I asked her how big the pizzas were in inches she said "I don't know what you mean". It's hard for me to understand someone not knowing their own pizza sizes let alone that pizza sizes are most commonly in inches. Their large is 12" if you're wondering.

Anyways I got it home and opened it up. It didn't look bad but an onion odor hit me immediately. I absolutely hate onions so I was horrified to find after lifting the cheese up that there were onions on it. They either put it in the sauce or they just messed up and put onions on my pizza. I tried to pick them out and eat it still but the sauce just had an overpowering onion flavor. I didn't care for the sauce at all.

I have lived in this area forever and today was the first time we placed an order from this place. It’s in a run down plaza, not so great part of town so we really never paid much attention to it. After placing the order and reading straight off of their menu on Google I went to pick up our order. Once I got there the total was way more than it should have been based on their menu. The lady just proceed to tell me google menu is wrong and they won’t change it. Lol I work with in the food industry and manage menus/google and they will update whatever updates a business needs within 24hrs if a request is submitted. An extra $3-4 ok but basically an extra $50 is not ok….. their new menu prices are $4-5 more per entree. And they just don’t care once someone brings it up. Peppe & Luigis has been around for many years now, it's a little spot right off 5th St, the restaurant itself is a bit old inside, but I have yet to go there and it not be clean.

Now.. on to the important part, the staff. Always friendly and willing to make sure you get the best food possible, and your drinks are generally filled up before your last ones gone.

The food.. well the food is probably the reason everyone is reading this review.. right?

They have some of the best food you can get in Barberton that's for sure. The pizza is home-made from the dough up. They use top of the line ingredients including Provolone Cheese, Genoa Salami..

The chicken is also very good, never burnt always crispy. It has a nice touch of seasoning in on the breading also.
