We had Terry Silvester of Terra Comp Tech instal an rooftop digital TV antenna at our home. We have a large 2 story home and the peak was really high. Terry did a site survey and determined where the best place would be to complete the antenna installation. Terry recommended a major brand of digital TV antenna that he said he had been using for several year and was proven to be an excellent digital TV antenna. Terry presented us with his written estimate and gave us time to review it. No pressure at all. Terry answered all of our questions & concerns. We did interview 1 other person, but were very impressed with Terra Comp overall. We scheduled an appt and Terry completed the instal on time. He hooked-up our 3 TV's and made sure everything was working just fine. Our family has "cut the cable cord" ditching cable TV for beautiful clear digital broadcast TV. Everything Terry promised he kept his word on completely. My wife & I are very pleased. The written estimate provided was exactly as shown. We feel the price we paid was fair for the work performed. We hired Terra Comp Technology to repair our rooftop TV antenna, as two channels had weak signals which occasionally broke up and pixelated. Terra Comp spent four hours and did not successfully repair the antenna. He was extremely slow (and rude) and charged us $323.00 for an unsuccessful installation. In face the signals became worse. This exorborbitant amount did not include the price of the antenna, which we supplied. Before Terry left, we pointed out to him that Channel 3 (NBC) had interference. He was tired and in a hurry and said that it was the fault of the TV station and that we should call them. Later we noticed that the signals were considerably worse on several of our main channels to the point of being unwatchable at times. We called and left Terry a message, but he has not called us back. We then disconnected the extra line that he had run to the basement and reinstalled the antenna as it had been initially, with the power supply and amplified splitter in the living room. The owner of this business has been very accommodating and helpful to me with my computer problems over the years. Believe me, I have had problems!!! I am not very computer savvy and don't understand half of what is said to me about computers. All I know is this. When I call, He says, bring it down. I take it to him and he gets it up and running once again. Repaired, replaced or upgraded, whatever it takes. He works hard to get me a good price on the repairs. I let him know if I am in a time crunch. Needing it back to continue the work I need to do that needs the computer.
