Corvin's Furniture and Flooring — Local services in Bardstown

Let me tell you what happened before Christmas in 2023! We bought a home in Bardstown and had to furnish it. Since it was supposed to be a summer home we needed furnitures asap so when we come back in May all is done and ready to enjoy! After surging around we luckily got to Corvin’s furniture and floors! We found everything we wanted there and for a sales price that was not to beat!! Since most of the items were floor models Justin Corvin came out to our house to clean the couches of dust which was normal for floor items. No extra charge! Also we bought some great “ reclining chairs “ but only one was at their store the other one had to be ordered and that took several weeks for delivery! BUT WE HAD TO GO BACK TO FLORIDA! Therefore Justin told us not to worry , when it comes from the factory Corvin’s will store it for us until we come back to Bardstown! No extra charge! It was nearly middle of June when we finally arrived and here it was, our last chair to complete our inside look and our enjoyment of being in our home!

Truthfully, all merchants could learn about kindness towards the customers from this store in Bardstown ! My husband and I are sooooo grateful for all the help Corvin’s Furniture and Floors gave us such kind understanding of our unique situation, We did not know a soul here in KY and feel like we didn’t get just great furnitures but also a nice friend! Any chance I hear somebody is looking for something and I think Corvin’s has it, I happily recommend the store !

Overall, my experience was average at best. It was easy and fast to get someone to come out and measure the room. They were very helpful at the store when picking out the flooring and offered good advice. However, the installation was where things started to go downhill.

There should be more communication with the person doing the install and the client if they are making decisions about design. The floor installers came around 10:00 am and left by around 12:20 pm, but it seems as if it was a sloppy job. They did not re-caulk around the brand new shower. They added trim that looks awkward, not flush, and was dirty. I called the store, and they said they would send someone back to fix it.

I went to Corvin’s to pay the last payment and to show them the pictures of the job. They explained the white trim is just a primer and it needs painting. Ok, that’s not a big deal. It mainly is the way it looks installed. It was also explained to me that caulking is something easy to do and usually the painters do it. However, if they pulled up caulk, should the installers not replace it? I also said we don’t have painters. I’m just shocked it was left this way and considered finished.

Eventually, they came back to add caulk and said there was nothing they could really do about the trim. But right after they walked out the door, my fiancé had to run to flag them down because they had left a bunch of flooring in our room and they still didn’t caulk all the way around the bathroom, so we had to have them go back...

Corvin's flooring redid the carpet on almost my entire house. 3 rooms, hall way, and basement. They came by, measured and gave a free estimate which only took at most 20 minutes. When I called and said the carpets were ready to go in, they set me up with a time and date for the next day. The crew came when they said they would and were done even a bit earlier. The men who did the job were very friendly and took good care of the rest of the house. They did excellent work, literally transformed my house in one day to a much better looking and feeling spot. For anyone reading this I would reccoment spending the extra on the memory foam pads, because they feel great with bare feet, just FYI. 10/10 service and quality, would recommend to anyone looking for new carpet...
