I wanted to wait a few weeks before posting a review. I was cautiously optimistic when I came across Flannigan mattress. I like no nonsense straightforward dealings and I got just that from Joe Flannigan. I "researched" mattresses and came away more confused than when I started. Joe is very knowledgeable and after talking with him a few minutes, he had me try 4 different mattresses. I bought a mattress that you flip. It is by a company out of Hartford, Connecticut that has been in business. I got the Buckingham Plush. What a difference!! My prior mattress was a Heavenly bed by Westin. While that bed was pretty comfortable, this one really feels like a much better build quality. The delivery was fast and very easy. Joe and his guys are great. We like to shop local, and after reading the reviews we decided to check out Flanagan's. Joe was great to work with. He had pulled a muscle in his neck but he was still ready to guide us in finding the mattress we liked best.

He's been in the industry a long time and sells brands he trusts. His store is jam packed full of mattresses. We were deciding between a latex mattress and a two-sided mattress and he taught us all about them without trying to upsell us. He also told us about common gimmicks in the industry (which there are no shortage of with private equity companies buying up store chains and popular mattress brands).

His delivery guys were courteous and respectful of our home. They asked if we had pets. We said we have cats but they won't run outside. They still closed the front door every time they went in and out just in case.

I was in need of a mattress for my home in Florida. Had purchased a mattress from Joe @ Flanagan’s Mattress in Hyannis five years ago for my Nantucket home and absolutely love it. Called Joe the other day and asked if he could ship the same model to me in Florida. Joe told me that it would be cost prohibitive to do so, but he would get me the current mattress model and locations in Florida to purchase. The next day he sent an email with current matching mattress and locations near me. This is service you rarely find in people and companies these day.
