Five Guys — Restaurant in Barnstable

5 Guys is a well run business. The staff is well trained, the restaurant is clean, the restrooms are clean.

The food is just not inspiring to me. The hamburgers are made with a good grade of meat, but there is no actual taste to the burger itself. The burgers are cooked on a flat top, which means that they are missing that char-broiled taste and it seems that they have little if any salt added to the burger to enhance the taste.

Today, I tried one of their hotdogs with bacon and cheese and tons of toppings. It was quite boring. Sonic does a much better job on hot dogs.

I do love all the choices of toppings that they offer me. I love being able to customize my burger that way.

I wish it was closer to my house, The burgers are fantastic and they give you a ton of fries if you want them but their coke machine sucks. If you like classic Coke like me you got to taste everybody's flavors all kinds of fruit flavors cuz it comes down the same shoot not like a regular soda fountain. I usually go next door to Chipotles and buy a Coke with their normal fountain and bring it with me. I told the manager but the idiots who own the place obviously not very picky when it comes to sodas tasting like everybody else's choice mixed with yours. Next time check the attire of the people cooking the burgers; in FILTHY DIRTY APRONS; with Small caps that DOES NOT COVER THEIR HAIR; check your burgers for HAIR. Why would ANYONE eat at this mall restaurant when WENDYS has BURGERS a MILLION TIMES BETTER, less than 1000 ft East on Iyannough Road.
