This tire shop takes advantage of travelers and people in difficult situations. I was in an accident nearby, and had to go here to get my tire fixed because it was the only place open. They charged me an absurd amount for one tire ($140-150). I paid it because I wanted to go home that night and figured my insurance would cover it. They didn’t because they made me pay cash (supposedly their credit card machine was broken) and didn’t give me a receipt. I wasn’t my usual keen self because I had just gotten into an accident, I was sleep deprived, and I had been driving all day so I didn’t think anything of it. When I realized I didn’t get a receipt, I assumed it was an honest mistake. I’ve been trying to get a receipt for the last month, and still haven’t been able to get one. Don’t go here!
Update 10/31/2020: My father went to this place for me to get a receipt. He was finally able to get a receipt! It only took about 2 months post accident... Luckily I was able to get the money back from my insurance company. Fast forward to 2020. I found out they put the wrong wheel AND tire on my car! They also took the tpsm sensor off and didn’t tell me. I’m assuming it was damaged in the accident, but since I didn’t have proof (the damaged sensor) my insurance wouldn’t cover it. It cost me over $400 out of pocket to fix everything. I’m still trying to get some of the money back from my...
Read moreThe customer is always wrong!!!! I went to get a tire from here maybe 5-6 days ago but the tire went flat. They told me nothing was wrong with the tire but my rim being bent was the problem, which means they didn’t pay attention to detail in the first place. So then they said they would replace the tire but charge me $15 to fix the rim. I asked would I have any more problems after that. He said no you shouldn’t have any more problems after they repaired the rim. I kid you not, the next four days I noticed the tire going flat again. I only went to get things for the house once and the car has been parked the whole time. I called Frankie and told him what happened and that I work from home so I really have no reason to do any excessive driving and that I knew that there was no guarantee on a used tire. But if I am spending $40 on a used tire that I only rode on once, it should last longer than a few days. He basically called me a liar by saying he didn’t believe me, told me it would cost me more money to fix my problem, and that he had to go because he has a customer. I will never go to this place again. Not even if all four tires blow out in front of their shop. I will be spending my money at another tire shop my wife and I noticed to have good prices and excellent...
Read moreThree weeks ago, one of my tires blew out. Frankie's was one of the only 24-hour tire shops open, and with several hundred miles left on my trip, I didn’t have many options. Unfortunately, I ended up paying $140 for a severely overpriced, dangerously worn-out used tire.
Today, that same tire went flat. I brought it to Walmart to get patched, only to be told it already had three old patches (the legal maximum), and all had been done incorrectly. The holes hadn’t been plugged before patching, which any professional knows is essential for a lasting repair. It was basically like someone slapped tape on it and called it fixed.
Even worse, Walmart found leaves inside the tire, a clear sign it had been sitting outside exposed to the elements. That kind of neglect leads to sidewall damage, dry rot, and tears—things that make a tire completely unsafe to drive on.
Not only did Frankie's charge me an outrageous price, but they sold me a tire that should’ve been thrown away. They didn’t even bother to clean out the dirt and debris before installing it. That level of laziness and disregard for safety is unacceptable.
Avoid this place at all costs. For what I paid for one garbage tire, I could have bought two brand new ones at Walmart. Do yourself a favor and take your...
