I have visited this store 3 times now with the thought that maybe this time will be better. I have all name brand clothes, some have never been worn and others have been worn once some two times total. There is no fading because my child has so much that he doesn't have time to wear them enough to fade before out growing them. This last trip in has taken the cake however. They refused some clothes due to fading and wear and tear. These clothes were never worn. When I said that to them they changed their reasoning as to why. The associate told me that she personally didn't like the pockets on the clothes and this is why she didn't put them in the take pile. The next set of clothes they refused they said because the stitching in their opinion was not straight and therefore looked to faded for them to resale. I explained to them that I did not alter the stitching therefore they came like that and it is the style. They then changed their reasoning to they didn't think it would sell. Funny, Macy's didn't have a problem selling the shirts so why would they. The next excuse was they thought a few articles were sets of clothes or they wanted them as sets even though they weren't. For example, I had a pair of Osh Kosh B'Gosh pants that she refused to take because she said it was missing a sweater. This is false because I bought these pants myself and they weren't part of a set. I know because I had buy a shirt separate to go with it. They took that shirt on a different trip and refused the pants. The next example was a swim shirt and shorts. I bought these at Baby's R Us (Koala brand) and had to buy these separate however, the associate told me that it was a set and she didn't want the trunks so she wouldn't take any of it. I tried to explain both times that she was wrong (that both of these were sold separate and not part of sets) but she said that I was wrong and that she knows for a fact that they were sets. Shirts that he had not worn because he grew out of them before having a chance to wear them she said that they were stained so they could not take them. I asked her where and she pointed out to the collar saying there was milk stains but I couldn't see anything and I bought them brand new and he hadn't worn them. There was also a few clothes in the bin with tags still on them and they refused to take them saying that they were faded and had wear and tear on them with stains. Each time I go in there they take less and less with more and more nonsense excuses as to why. I have walked the racks thinking I would buy higher sized clothes however what is on the rack is in worse condition then what they are refusing! Staff was rude especially after I explained why I was upset. They turned everything around on me and how it is my fault that I can't see these imaginary stains that they are trying to get me to see. When I had told the i'm assuming the supervisor since everyone went to her for problem solving, that I was getting disappointed with service and quality of the store she said to me that she is so sick of hearing that from people that are coming in but she was quick to not help me and when she did it...

If zero stars was an option they would get it . I drove over 40 mins to this store even though the Mandeville store is closer because they had such nice workers . I don't know where those workers went but I do know the ones there now are rude and completely lack customer service. I brought in a huge bag of clothes to sell was told it would be one hour that's great no problem so I run some errands and decide an hour later to call and make sure they were done before heading back . The young lady who answered the phone asked my name and said yes they are done but hold on just a minute I was on hold 15 mins before finally hanging up when I drove up to the store . I go in and give my name only to be told they couldn't buy anything because 1. A few were long sleeve ok no problem 2. They weren't the right sizes 3. They had normal wear and tear that's the biggest crock of mess I've ever heard because over 40 onesies size premie to 3 months had never even been worn I actually took them off the store hanger that they were bought from . Then this young woman had the nerve to say in front of my daughter who wanted to sell some of her own clothes that were never worn that sorry her clothes are adult size small well guess what not all kids are small and skinny so thanks for making my child cry and yourself look like a complete fool. Needless to say I want be back to that location I'll shop Mandeville from now on so if you have a child who isn't a skinny size 2 or wears bigger than a small don't bother taking your clothes here oh and to top the cake the bag wasn't even gone through other than a few items on top because everything was still folded and placed exactly in the order...

One Upon A Child is a resale shop that carries children's clothing, shoes, toys and books. They also buy items in good condition.

This is a store that I had heard about for many years but I didn't have any small grandchildren. I have added two new babies to the crew this past year so I am visiting Once Upon A Time every couple of months.

So far, I have found that they have some awesome end of the season sales. For instance, you can pick up Onsies for babies at 20 for $10.00. This is a super deal and you can get all you need for the following season. Or you can buy two different sizes to make sure your baby will have the correct sizes. You can afford to do this at this price. The clothing is mostly in "like new" condition and they have a lot of stock to choose from.

Other than the sales, the clothing in the store is well organized and arranged by size and gender throughout the store. They also have baby equipment for setting up a nursery. One of my daughters snagged a Graco Pack 'n Play for 20.00 that was in very good condition.

I browsed the book section on my last visit and was pleased to find nice hard back books for children of all ages at reasonable prices.

Overall, this is a great store for moms or grandparents who want to save some money on kid's clothing but still buy nice brands of clothing in good condition. They are located on the southern side of town on Airline Highway. It's...
