This is a long story and Google won't let me post all of it. Basically I prepaid for an amp that took six months to come in and they charged me even more money!
...I go and wait for 3 hours for them to install the new amp. Once itâs finally ready Larry tells me thereâs an up charge for the wiring they used to move the amplifier to the new location. ARE YOU KIDDING ME!!!!! This is the amp I paid to have installed the first time 6 months ago! Jeremy told me that it would be no charge but apparently he isnât really the manager because he went back on what he said and sided with Larry. Why didnât anyone tell me this before they did the work is beyond me. I wouldâve been ecstatic to have them just leave it on the seat and let me do my own installation. They gave me some bs about not charging for the power wire but having to charge for the longer RCAs but then they couldnât give me a credit for the original power wire but why would I need that since you werenât charging me for it anyway? So I had to fork over another $110 âfor RCAsâ. Lie #1: The DD Audio rep is going to send you goodies for your trouble and long wait. Lie #2: We wonât charge you for swapping out the amplifier. Lie #3: We ran longer RCAs (they just used extensions on the new ones I installed). After all this they managed to reintroduce noise back into my system that Iâm going to have to go back over everything to figure out where itâs coming from, Iâm out more money, and my truck smells like vinegar for some reason!!!!!!. So I guess to them it was worth $110 to get this review.
I DO NOT, I repeat DO NOT recommend letting these people touch your vehicle for any reason whatsoever. They are liars and do poor work. They are not interested in turning over a quality installation no matter how many thousands of your hard earned dollars you hand over to them. Iâm completely unsatisfied and all of my worst fears came to fruition from this experience. Iâm upset with DD Audio as well for forcing me into a position where I had to go through a business like Onsite to begin with. I over paid for equipment that isnât much better than any of the other major brands out there. This entire experience has left a bad taste in my mouth for local installers and DD Audio as whole. DO NOT repeat my mistakes. Learn to do your own installs or take it to someone who actually takes pride in their work. Onsite Audio will never get my business again and hopefully this review keeps them from earning...
Read moreTheir prices we're really fair, but you get what you pay for. I had them install a backup camera, run some cables and connect the illumination wire to the radio so the radio will light up at night. There were several problems along the way which the owner did not tell me about. In order for the wires to be ran it would get in the way of my foldable cup holder thus making my cup holder useless. As well as I paid them to install the radio into the dash but I wouldn't have done that had I known that they not connected the illumination wire. The illumination wire was missing from the car so I asked the mechanic to attach it to the red 12 volt wire but he did not. So now I have to uninstall the radio to connect the illumination wire to the red 12 volt wire end pull those cables back through so I can use my cup holder. He did not let me know any of this. I would not have paid for them to install the radio and run the wires had I known that information beforehand. I'm a mechanic in training and I know you are supposed to tell the customer of any problems or anything that could be a problem. He did not let me know any of this until I called the next day and ask him why that work was not done. So in my eyes they owe me an extra 150. I paid them 75 to run the wires and 75 to install the radio. I would have rather just had him not run the wires so I could use my cup holder. I told him this and he wanted to charge me to fix the mistakes he made. in the end the only complaint I have is the lack of communication from the owner because work was done that I had no longer wanted if it would have or could have caused problems. It wasn't all bad though. They did replace the old trim clips hold up the liner. (instead of using the old ones). The Back-up Camera work they did was...
