I will never go to this location again. I've been to literally every Chime's restaurant and this is the first one I've had an awful experience with. Our waitress was in training so she had another waitress who stayed beside her for each trip she made to our table. They were both nice. I put in the order for our appetizers and waited about 10 minutes to put our entree orders in. Although I waited appetizers came out and 5 minutes later the salads were coming out. I had also put in a order to go which would normally come out towards the end of the meal but instead they brought it out while I was still eating my salad. No worries but then a few minutes later the entree comes out which I hated because that is the reason I delayed putting the order in. The food looked ok when it came out but we were sitting out on the patio and a pesky fly kept flying around our table so I covered my seafood pasta with a napkin until I was done with my salad. Once I uncovered it and began to stir my pasta I realized that it was very little sauce but greasy. I asked my waitress for more sauce showing her how dry it looked and she said it would be an additional $1.50. I have no problem paying for extra items when the item I have has an adequate amount of what I am paying for but in this instance this was not the case. I always get the Seafood Pasta when I eat at Chimes and have never had any type of issue. I understood the waitress was just doing her job so I asked to speak to the manager. She came out and asked what was going on. I explained and showed her my dish. Her response was all of our meals are portioned so it would be a $1.50 charge if I wanted more sauce. I told her I have never had an issue with this dish before and she said well your order came out a hour ago so it was nothing she could do. I told her it was not an hour and if I would have noticed I would have said something from the beginning however per usual I thought my sauce had just settled to the bottom and I could stir it. She just looked at me and repeated the same thing as if ignoring everything I was saying to her. Your food has been here for a hour now so it's nothing I can do. I told her as the manager I was very disappointed in this dismissal of what I was telling her and although she came to the table she didn't try to resolve my issue as a unhappy customer spending almost $100 for two ppl. It wasn't about the $1.50 but moreso the point that as a manager she didn't even attempt to fix the situation nor seemed to even care. Customer service is very important to me and the manager named HOPE completely ruined my dining experience and made me feel as if my business was unappreciated therefore I will never eat here nor recommend this location to anyone. Other than my nasty and dry pasta that ended up getting thrown away(waste of money) the other food was good and the waitresses were cool(still tipped them of course) but the Manager by the name of Hope if I could give a rating of '0' for her customer service I would. Sorry for the long review, I just wanted to give a detailed explanation as to why my experience was...
Read moreOne of the waitresses in The Chimes on Coursey was very RUDE because I used a chair from an empty table to sit my purse on. This was during the very early part of lunch hours around 11:30am where traffic in the restaurant was sporadic. The waitress came over, while my friend and I were conversing and spoke with my friend inquiring if it was her purse in the chair. I informed the waitress that it was mine and she asked me to remove it. I informed her that I'm not a rude person and if someone comes and need to sit in that chair I will remove it. I asked for the manager and another waitress. The manager came over, very RUDE, to say the reason the restaurant needed the chair was to hold it as a placement. Again I informed her that I'm not rude and since the hostesses are placing other customers upstairs, it shouldn't be a problem. The manager then proceeded to bring me a mangy chair from the back of the restaurant to sit my purse on. I declined her offer, so she sat the mangy chair in public view in stead where the other chair was. I inquired to my friends if they wanted to leave but they refused to let anyone drive them away. The replacement waitress name was Chloe. She changed the whole atmosphere with her pleasant attitude. She said that she's a server and she's there. at The Chimes on Coursey, to make sure the customers have a great experience. The kicker of this story was that a group of 4 came and sat by us, remember I have the extra chair, one of them noticed the chair was missing as I was trying to place it back, the lady politely shook her head no, and got the other chair by an empty table. The lady said if someone comes by looking for it, they'll give it to them. However when the waiter/waitress noticed that the chair was missing from the empty table nothing was said. The prior waitress or the manager didn't apologize for their rudeness. The food was very delicious, as it WAS one of my favorite go to places. But the professionalism on that day of January 25, 2020 was very devastating, demeaning. and unacceptable. I will not go back and spend my hard earned money at The Chimes to get demised and...
Read moreEDIT: I said I wouldn't go back. Well I did. Way way way different experience this time. And they were incredibly busy. But somehow we found a clear spot at the bar, right where we sat last time. But this time everything was different. Our bartender was incredible, food was great, and the atmosphere was welcoming. The drinks were on point again. I'm changing my review to say that it's worth it to go but just be cautious. If it feels wrong, it is wrong.
Sat at the bar on a not-so-busy Sunday night. We were the only guests on our side of the bar but we might as well have been sitting in the parking lot for how much we were ignored. Once we finally placed our drink order the bartender told me they needed my card to secure the drinks. This is normal for being at a bar but not at a restaurant. Why do you have to keep my card behind the bar when I could easily sit at a table and not pay until the end of the meal? This made me really uncomfortable. Once we finally got our drinks we were then ignored for even longer before I had finally had enough. I asked for the check and my card back. We left and will NOT be back. While the bartenders were friendly, they seemed to only care about the other guests, talking to each other, or cleaning up for the night. My wife and I were super hungry and wanted to eat but no one had taken our order while we sat for nearly 30 minutes. That's ridiculous.
On top of that every time I have been in there the hosts make me feel unwelcome and like I am a burden just by being there. No friendly smile or greeting. That's literally your job.
This place deserves a 1 star rating for the terrible service and awful hosts. The one saving grace is the drinks we had were top notch. Extra star for good drinks. Go there at your own risk. If you can get decent service you might actually...
