I don't understand all the hatin', because this is one of the best places I've EVER been to (and I've lived all over the world) for clothing in general, but definitely for affordable, authentic and well preserved vintage clothing. The staff do an incredible job of providing Baton Rouge residents and visitors with an array of options to fit your body type. I used to hate shopping because box brands don't fit me correctly. I'm short and busty, and it was hard to find clothes that I felt reflected my personality and fit me well. The staff at Time Warp deliver time and time again with clothing that actually fits me, makes me feel beautiful and is one of a kind. I've never bought anything but quality products from this store at AMAZING prices. I've shopped vintage online and for the same, if not inferior quality, I've paid 2-3 times as much as Time Warp. You'd pay as much if not more for clothing from a corporate chain store and it's not original. For vintage and individuality, It's really a steal.
Not only is the clothing great, but the customer service is by far the best I've ever experienced in a clothing store. They are not just trying to sell you something--they genuinely try to help you find clothing that is the right fit and is customizable to you as a person. They will tell you if something doesn't seem to work, and they always have great suggestions. I used to leave clothing stores with hardly any finds, feeling poorly about myself because nothing seemed to look right. When I leave Time Warp, I generally have had to put clothing back because I couldn't get it all in one trip! Almost all of my clothes in my closet are from Time Warp, and I always receive compliments on my clothes and my style. I have them to thank for helping me feel beautiful and confident while finding extraordinary clothing at very...
Read moreDuring my recent visit to Time Wrap Baton Rouge, I experienced a shopping experience that left me feeling uncomfortable. Throughout my time in the store, I found myself constantly approached by sales associates offering fitting rooms or suggesting that I hold items at the front counter. This frequent intrusion and pressure to engage in these services felt unnecessary and intrusive.
As a customer, I appreciate having the freedom to browse and explore the store at my own pace without feeling pressured or constantly monitored. Unfortunately, this was not the case at Time Wrap Baton Rouge. The sales associates seemed overly eager to assist and guide me towards using their services, which disrupted my shopping experience and made me feel uneasy.
While I understand that providing personalized assistance and suggesting additional services can be helpful for some customers, it is important for retailers to strike a balance and respect the boundaries of their patrons. Feeling constantly monitored and pressured to engage in services I did not require made me question the genuine intent behind these interactions.
In terms of the store's merchandise and layout, Time Wrap Baton Rouge offers a decent selection of items, and the quality of the products seemed satisfactory. However, the intrusive sales approach overshadowed my overall impression of the store.
In conclusion, my experience at Time Wrap Baton Rouge was marred by the constant pressure and intrusion from sales associates. It is my hope that the store considers adopting a more customer-centric approach, where patrons are given space to explore without feeling uncomfortable or obligated to utilize...
Read moreCame to this shop yesterday from out of town and employees were very condescending when I asked if any measurements were written on sales tags. I was told in a sarcastic voice that this is a VINTAGE store, so things don’t usually have tags. I was very aware that it was a vintage store since I had specifically came for that reason…I’m also aware that vintage items often don’t have tags, but I have honestly never been in a vintage store that didn’t have some type of size info like bust or waist measurements written on the tag. I personally feel that this isn’t very inclusive, but even putting aside my personal opinion, all the cashier had to say was no we don’t write sizes on anything here. The experience was very unwelcoming overall and I promptly left.
EDIT: Since the owner left their feedback, I will leave mine to this response: The owner was not there when this interaction transpired. I was not annoyed until I spoke with the cashier. The manager didn’t know what I meant when I asked if items had measurements and said “Oh, what did you need me to measure?” To which I responded that I wasn’t interested in a specific item, I was wondering in general if measurements were written on tags, to which they responded the condescending remark above that didn’t even answer my question. But, after this response, I’m not surprised that this was the experience I had here. Small businesses may choose to do things in their own ways, but that still doesn’t make...
