S.E. Alterations — Local services in Bayonne

My best friend ordered a dress online and needed the top part to fit better, so she brought it in several weeks ago. She left a deposit and came back for it when she was told it’d be ready. They said it would take another week, and that it wasn’t ready yet. When she came back she ended up paying even more than the original price they had stated. It looked good but it became clear soon after that the alterations were horribly done. The dress was ripped in several place and “covered up” by the “alterations”. I see her a few times a year and we have prom to attend in less than three days; and now have to figure out how to fix it ourselves. The person that touched her dress, which cost hundreds of dollars, shouldn’t be caught near a sowing machine again....

I went to SE Alterations to have a bridesmaid dress taken in a full size. The staff is extremely knowledgeable and incredibly friendly. I felt super comfortable. Their work is AMAZING. I was very nervous to wear a strapless dress, but they altered it perfectly to me and it fits like a glove. Even jumping up and down this dress is not going anywhere! She did a great job on my bridesmaid dress. My dress was made of tulle with a corset top that needed to be brought in bc the chest was too big and hemmed at the bottom. When I picked up the dress, the alterations were seamless! I was very impressed and thoroughly pleased. Would definitely recommend if you need an important dress altered. Will return to get some normal dresses altered knowing that the quality of work here...
