I’m new to the area and my landlord left me an old, unusable washer and dryer. A coworker who is a local and has had great experiences with Perry’s told me to go to this shop. It’s a humble looking warehouse/garage with about 20-30 washers and dryers set out. All used/refurbished and in good shape. I needed a set, Amber set up the sale, I purchase a HOTPOINT set for about $600 with extra for delivery. Chris showed up in 25 minutes with my washer and dryer. He promptly hooked the washer up and we realized my building had the old 3 prong plug still, so he offered to come back the next day and switch out the cord. I was able to do this myself and I was good for about a week.
I had done a few loads when I realized that the dryer seemed to not get completely hot and socks and thicker edges of blankets and clothing would be damp. I called them, Amber arranged service right away, the owner, Greg, came out himself. Checked vents, wattage, and everything else but was stumped and needed to take the unit back. Chris came right away the next morning with a loaner! They took a few days and replaced a sensor/heating element and it was perfect.
I cannot express how happy and satisfied I am with this local, family owned business. It was amazing… the service quality, the genuine customer service that I received… This shop also is an applicable repair shop. They will sell and then help with upkeep. I received 30 day warranty on my machines and then another 30 after the heating sensor replacement service. I’m super happy and I believe in supporting your local businesses...
Read moreI bought a used dryer from them. The first time I used the dryer, I ran 5 loads through it with no problem. The next time, the heater fuse tripped. I took it back and they repaired it for free, saying that since I was in an apartment, the vent hose/pipe was clogged and not allowing the heat to escape. The apartment maintenance came and cleared out the pipe. I turned the dryer on and it stopped again within the first minute. I took the dryer back and they fixed it for free, warning this would be the last 'free' time. I had the apartment guys make sure to clean the vent pipe, which they did using a snake and a heavy duty blower. But yeah, the dryer tripped within a minute of turning it on. Keep in mind, I've had this dryer less than a month. I got sick of this piece of junk dryer and bought the cheapest new one I could find (not from them!) and have yet to have a problem with it in the past 3 months! Bottom line, Perry's sells junk and they don't know how to properly diagnose/fix anything. Save yourself the hassle...
Read moreI would not recommend that a person buy anything from this appliance shop from the moment that me and my husband purchased a washer. We have been disrespected and accused of doing something that we did not do.. Me and my husband were told repeatedly that we dropped the washer when in fact, as soon as we got the washer, we couldn’t even get it off of our U-Haul truck because pieces were falling out from the bottom they did nothing to help us or offer any type of solution every single person that works there gave us a different answer. One guy said that they do come out for free on the first 30 days and then another guy said that it would be $40 for them to come out and check it out. I think they are very unprofessional and they need to explain all policies Makes a purchase so that they can be fully informed. And for the record, and I hope you read this me and my husband did not drop the washer. It was damaged when you sold it to us. So if you are a customer looking for an appliance, I don’t suggest you go...
