Furnace Creek Ranch Golf Course — Local services in Beatty

One of my favorite courses I’ve played. The design is quite deceiving. With constant head turns or gazed into the landscape, the course brings you into peace. The challenges are much more unseen. The routing can be confusing as typically you’re just focused on taking it all in. The course also looks very simple at a glance. Then you figure out quickly that you better have a good relationship with your high irons and they better be pretty accurate. I played in some of the best weather to play there. Half of the round was cool with gusts of wind and within the next 30min it was sunny, warm, and no wind. The changing elements were an added challenge and strategy was always needed.

The service at the course is unmatched. John (the PGA pro) has great energy and is the perfect welcome to the course. Madison was gracious and friendly. They went far above and beyond to ensure my experience was top notch.

Play 9 holes below sea level before a full day of sightseeing and hiking ~ yep I'm IN!! We made sure to grab our morning tee time prior to leaving for our Death Valley getaway. We knew only 9-holes as we had a full day planned for Furnace Creek with temperatures at 85 and winds at 15 to 25

Furnace Creek Golf Course is located in Death Valley at the Oasis boasting 214 feet below Sea Level as the World's Lowest Elevation 18-hole par 70 course it was a MUST do while we were there. The course has stellar views with beautiful palm & tamarisk trees framing the fairways with overall conditions comparable to our local municipal course at home ~ but those views!!

I played at the course nearly a year ago. I thought it played well. The fairways were in good shape and the rough was capable of catching your ball and being a punishment if you continued to hit into it enough 😅 I don't remember disliking the greens, so I think they were rolling well. I had a birdie on each nine and shot a 89. Some wildlife. The only place to view the desert from grass. Or be below the rest of the world at -127. I can't remember what I payed but it was a fair price compared to the rest of California and or death valley prices. Drive that beautiful desert road and have fun,...
