General Store — Local services in Beatty

I booked through Expedia and wasn't paying attention to the check in time. We arrived before the cabin was ready and Linda was very professional but friendly and mentioned we were early and the cabin wasn't ready. We came back and there was complications with the room and she asked if it would be ok if she upgraded us. She took time to socialize with us and give us ideas for the evening. Brandi at the general store was also friendly. The pool is amazing! The only surprise was the price of dinner meals and the buffet. Breakfast was worth it but we didn't see anything on the buffet worth the price. General store is pricey also so...

This store has all the essentials you need to eat and survive out here. Like beer! And water bottles, a soda machine, lots of pre packaged baked goods, sauces, chips, and pre made sandwiches. There's even a big souvenir section that you can browse. Just remember that money spent here doesn't go directly to the park service. Prices here are MUCH more expensive than your average grocery store - like $8 for a small mayo...

This is a beautiful resort. Guessing it's fairly new judging by the prices they charge here. A 6-pack of Modelo for $18 can be had up the road at the next town for under $10. The attendant tried to explain the cost of bringing food on. I get it, you're far away, but it doesn't explain how another store in the area can do it for so much less. I don't know or work for that other store, as a consumer...
