I am going to be as transparent as can be with my review to help as many brides as I can.
The appointment was comfortable, but the dress selection is extremely limited. I take full responsibility for not doing my due diligence in research of the dress I selected before purchasing and better understanding the custom process, but I feel the concerns I expressed along the way could have also been heeded by the shop and mitigated before the dress was complete.
I spent just a little under $6,000 on a dress with very minor customizations (pearls around the neckline, upper sleeve, and shaft of the dress). The dress itself without customizations, I later found out, was $2,500 dollars. So it seems I paid more than twice as much for this dress to add small pearls onto the dress and a few pearls at the end of a simple/ plain tulle veil.
Throughout the process, we worked together but there were a few things I had questions about as the production process started that I requested direction from the team on. We added crinoline to an a-line skirt which gives it a bigger look, but also makes the dress shorter. This was something that should have been added before the skirt length was determined, but they added it afterwards and said it would be fine.
The pearl detailing added to the veil and the skirt was so poorly stitched that pearls were popping off as I tried on the dress for the first time. If the design idea was something they could not cleanly accomplish, it would benefit the customer to let them know rather than allow them to run with an outlandish design if they felt there was no way to securely attach those pearls. I feel there was more emphasis on making a sale than ensuring that the custom style would be practical and efficient, and it led to a disaster of a dress in the end.
The shop offered to remake the dress, however, with my wedding being in early spring I didn’t have the time to take a gamble on them giving the dress a second try since we are in December already. I had to buy an entirely new dress and do rush shipping, which cost me twice as much as what I had already spent and has put so much additional stress on me during this season. Some sort of a refund would have been ideal, but the contract signed states there are no refunds, returns, or exchanges.
My recommendation would be, if budget allows, please try other bridal shops nearby with a bit more variety and expertise in design I.e. Iconic Brides Dallas, Anna Be bridal, Stanley Korshak, etc for a wider selection and more helpful staff.
The remaining star is for the kindness of the team. Everyone in the shop was quite sweet and kind, however, the money lost during this process over a dress I cannot wear and will struggle to sell warrants a 1 star review from me.
Hoping to help the next Texas bride in their season of wedding planning.

Read moreWords cannot express how incredibly thankful I am to be an Elizabeth Lee bride! Wendy and Jared (the owners) are beyond amazing.
This boutique was the first wedding dress store I went to. I came in thinking I wanted a particular style but after trying on some dresses with that particular fit, nothing was working with my body and I was starting to get discouraged. The stylist I was working with (Kayla?) was incredible. I felt so comfortable with her and she genuinely listened to what I was wanting in a dress. Towards the end of my appointment, I met the owner Jared. Jared took one look at me, brought in a dress with a different style of fit, and I fell in love! Since this was the first shop I went to, I didn’t want to jump the gun and wanted to explore some different options around town. Long story short, I came back. I went to two other bridal shops (Lulu’s and a&be) and it just wasn’t the same. The customer service was horrible and the quality of the dresses for the price they were was disgraceful. The stylist at one of the other shops was trying so hard to get me to buy a dress that I said I hated and didn’t pull a single style that I was going for. Trust me when I saw this, you will NOT get better customer service, quality, and the family atmosphere anywhere else in DFW other than Elizabeth Lee.
When it came time to pick up my dress and do the first fitting, the dress arrived WAY too small. I couldn’t even get it over my thighs; somehow the measurements got screwed up. As upset as I was, Wendy and Melissa (their seamstress) handled the situation beautifully. They comforted me, assured it was going to get fixed, and gifted me a beautiful head piece from their shop. I’m not sure how Melissa was able to do it, but my dress fit like a glove! I also used Melissa for my bustle and she is worth every penny - a true fairy godmother. (Fun fact: Melissa did the alterations to Miranda Lambert’s dress!)
The shop itself is very glamorous and beautiful. The dress are VERY affordable and they have almost every style, cut, and fabric you could think of. Wendy and Jared design the dresses themselves and can even create your dream dress from scratch. The dress is actually made custom to your measurements so you will save a fortune from not having to have any alterations. They also carry veils, headpieces, jewelry, and shoes at the shop (careful, you will want one of each!). Very professional, warm, and welcoming environment overall - I cannot say enough good things about...
Read moreThey have beautiful dresses and I was excited that you could pick a dress and make modifications to create your dream dress. Everyone was nice during my first few appointments, however, when I received my dress (I made customizations and went over details with the owner on exactly what I wanted), it did not turn out the way we talked about. There were details I asked for specifically and even had a video where the owner talked about all the changes and showed how everything should be, but the final dress did not reflect those changes. When I had asked and showed the owner the problem, she said I had to pay additional money to get things fixed, even though what I was wanting to fix on the dress, was what I originally asked for when we made these changes! I expressed that it wasn't fair that I had to pay extra for something that was already discussed in detail before production of the dress. The owner got upset and started crying because I was complaining about how I wasn't satisfied and disappointed with how the dress came out.... I feel like I should have been the one crying since I didn't get what I was promised and then told I had to pay more money to get what I originally asked for! And this all happened 3 weeks before my wedding because the dress was late in arriving (later than when they told me it would come). It was really stressful to deal with this. Unfortunately, I can't recommend them after this experience. If you're going to go here and make changes to a dress, make sure you're very specific and detailed and keep record of the changes you asked for. Everyone complimented my dress, but because I knew the details I asked for and didn't get, it made this experience unpleasant and really stressful, especially with the owner being unprofessional and getting emotional.
Edit: Just wanted to say again the changes we originally made and what I paid for, were not reflected on the dress, specifically speaking, the sleeves. I'm glad I had proof of everything we discussed and the changes that were supposed to be made BEFORE the production of it because that is what I was able to show the owner when the dress didn't turn out the way...
