Sat at the bar and it took the 3 bartenders to walk past me for about 6 minutes for them to ask me if I wanted to order something . I was trying out the place for the first time so I didn’t want that to ruin the experience for me but I should have just left then and there while I had the chance . Had a drink called the home run margarita, it tasted like a Mai tai with tequila it was 90% juice , at least it didn’t taste like juice concentrate so I’ll give them that but still not great . I order an appetizer the mozzarella cheese sticks and the hangover burger , made it a double and I “upgraded” to onion rings. The mozzarella sticks were exactly like Sonic’s . Very disappointing , save your money there . I got them at the same time as my burger , which is a little annoying because even a small restaurant times the appetizer arriving before the food but it’s a sports bar what can I expect right ? When I started eating my burger honestly it looked amazing . It was huge , no knife was served with it so I went right it because I didn’t want it to get cold and let me tell you , the burger was actually really good . Aside for the bun not being toasted it was actually very pleasant . The meat although you could tell by the consistency of the beef it wasn’t the best quality, but the other topping were actually very good so it made up for it , the bacon , grilled onions and peppers were all good especially the cheese . I was afraid the onions wouldn’t be fully cooked all the way but they were and the burger was delicious great seasoning , I give it a 9/10 . The onion rings though were terrible , and cold . No seasoning whatsoever , huge disappointment. I asked for fries instead because I wanted something to eat alongside my burger and was given a side of fries . I’m not even kidding the fries were cold too . I was done at that point I just ate them and finished my meal . I was still charged the $2.50 for the onion rings I did not eat . The seasoning on the fries was very strange as well they almost tasted sweet . Order them with just salt . This place does not replace hopdoddy as the best burger joint in the area , besides their huge variety of beers and tvs everywhere they have nothing on them I would give them a try they’ll...
Read moreI want to address that my waitress was amazing and our church group has been there several times and I have ordered the same thing before. However, during this particular visit, I ordered an O Lineman Burger as usual and since I always only eat half of it I decided to share the rest but that’s beside the point. When I bit into the grilled cheese which is normally soft and crunchy. This time I found it to be improperly prepared as it was merely toasted with a minimal amount of butter only the center was yellow the rest was white so like toast so it was hard.
After the grilled cheese was remade, it still did not meet expectations. I requested that the kitchen simply add butter and grill the existing grilled cheese to my preference. At this point, the manager “Jack”approached my table and sat down next to me with the sandwich in hand!!! First of all, why the need to sit down next to me made me feel like I was a child in trouble. He asked why I was sending the grilled cheese back, implying that I was wasting product. He stated the sandwich already contained a pound of butter, which was supposedly inside the sandwich, despite the initial issue being the lack of grilling.
This confrontational approach escalated when I decided to forgo the sandwich and mentioned my intent to contact someone at a higher level due to the manager's dismissive attitude. The manager then proceeded to stand behind me, open the sandwich, and display it in an attempt to prove his point about the butter content. I found this behavior to be incredibly degrading, unprofessional, and unacceptable. Also, he pretty much told me that if I wanted to file a complaint I have to send it to him and he would forward it. Absolutely not!
Before I left I approached the front counter and saw a card with his full name on it, Jack Price (General Manager)!
I wish I would have taken a picture of it or a video of when he pretty much opened the grilled cheese with one hand to prove his point
Mind you my tab was over $100 and we had two other tabs at the table. All his fuss over a grilled cheese. I mean I didn’t ask the whole sandwich to be remade just one of the...
Read moreThis started as an experiment…
First & foremost, this is not for everyone. One must have tried a few other burgers to know how to assess it properly.
Background: Eating an average of 2 burgers every year, i am initially not a burger connoisseur although my burger eating frequency reached its peak during the first semester of this year 2025.
The Experiment: I decided to discover how this compares to an awesome burger that I fell in love with lately. Upon making a stop @ my local credit Union located next door, the sign & more importantly the rhyme included in “Cold beers & Cheeseburgers” caught my attention.
Before the order: There were so many choices on the menu which caused me to have the front desk associate suggest me a burger based upon most people preference & All American was it. However, i later found that she was & in-training which might me why the first choice on the burger menu is what she suggested to me (no worries anyhow),
The Wait: Between the time i placed my order & when i received it, 19mn elapsed. So my order was : All american with a side of ceasar salad & i wanted the gluten free type of bread (extra $1 - no worries)
The BILL: It gave me the feeling that I flew to Hawaï/ New York / Miami & back; indeed, i think that $20 is on the high end of thr spectrum.
The Meal I choosed the meat well cooked & it really was. The low to inexistent seasoning was absolutely disappointing. The burger size was small.
The price is a on the high end of the spectrum & made me feel as though I flew to Hawaii, New York or Florida with the high cost of living.
I really would not have cared if the burger was awesome but it was not. To be honest, in-N’-out burgers taste better that what I ordered but, again, perhaps, it could have been better had I ordered a different burger, who knows.
Overall Will I take a chance and try this again? Certainly NoT but thank you for...
