Tax season is around the corner dont make that same mistake I did. PLEASE DONT EVER buy from this store. They absolutely do not care about the customer after you pay. I purchased a couch for almost 5k. This was our first "nice" couch purchase I have ever made. Upon initial delivery 2 peices came messed up with holes, poor stitching in cushions and the pillows were literally laughable there were so many strings hanging out. The stitching is popping out on the cushions I currently have and 8 inch section that open with foam cushion popping out...cute right! They took 8 months to replace 2 sections only to bring in more messed up peices that I'm assuming will take another 8 months to replace. We don't have small children and our couch gets used gently. The cushions were nice and firm upon arrival, but within a few weeks it felt like we've had it for years. The new cushions are 3 inches higher then the ones we had one for 8 months. Super comfy now right??? Lol. At this point every section except 1 has to be replaced. Someone came out to fix the stitching on the couch cushions but ultimately said it wasn't even fixable and needed replaced. I have called the store many times and their protection plan center they absolutely do not care. The manager never has called me back from when we spoke a few month ago. If you love low quality furniture with a decent price tag, and spending quality time on the phone and putting in claims then this is the place for you. Don't be cheap and not get the protection plan it will be your only saving grace if you want you poor quality furniture replaced with more poor quality furniture!
UPDATE The manager did end up finally reaching out to me and agreed that the couch by Fusion Furniture that I had received and replacement peices were all defective from the manufacturer. I was given store credit to replace the couch. When I went in everyone was kind and helpful with picking out a new couch. I was a little frustrated when Yvonne told me that same couch that she sold me was made by another manufacturer at a higher quality with a ton of fabric options. She absolutely did not give me that option when I had purchased the first couch. When I asked her why she said they were having a big sale and pushing her to make sale and get to the next person.
With the help of the manager I ended up picking a different couch manufactured by Chesapeake Furniture at the same price. It was delivered a few weeks ago and so far it's wonderful. It is pretty firm but I am ok with that I know the cushions will break in with use. There is absolutely nothing wrong with it, you can tell they take much more pride in their work then Fusion did. I am so grateful to the manager at Gavigans for stepping in and making things right. *Last 3 pictures are of the "replacement" couch by...
Read moreDealing with this company has been an absolute nightmare. We purchased our sectional on May 23, 2024, and soon noticed that the wood from the recliners was digging into our backs. Additionally, the cushions would not lay flat on the couch, making it impossible to sit comfortably, as one would slide off. Initially, we thought it might simply need to be broken in, but that was not the case. The recliners became progressively more uncomfortable, to the point where we had to stuff a pillow behind us to sit on them. On February 18, 2025, we visited Gavigan's to assess the floor display and discuss the quality of our furniture with management. Regrettably, the management representative declined to engage in any meaningful conversation, opting instead to hand us a pamphlet and instruct us to contact the warranty company, which was quite disheartening. Upon returning home, I completed the required forms for the warranty program to request repairs. Initially, I was unable to schedule an appointment; instead, I received a text message informing me of a scheduled visit a week later. As we had a wedding to attend that day, I communicated that we would not be home. After some time, we successfully rescheduled the appointment for a few weeks later, which we understood given that businesses often experience busy periods. A technician arrived to inspect our couch and confirmed that it was defective. He informed us that he had ordered the necessary parts and that we would receive a shipment, allowing us to schedule the repairs thereafter. Weeks passed without any communication. Frustrated, my husband contacted the company, only to be scheduled for repair and told by the same technician who was out March 13, 2025, he had no parts to do the repair. This not only wasted our time, but also the technicians time for absolutely nothing. Upon further inquiry, a woman in the office disclosed that she had not placed the order for the parts, which had merely been sitting on her desk since March 13, 2025. As of today 5/13/2025, we have yet to receive any updates. I feel compelled to share my experience with others, as this situation has clearly demonstrated that their products are overpriced for the poor quality provided. While I typically avoid leaving negative reviews—understanding that unexpected issues can arise as a business owner myself—this experience has left us thoroughly dissatisfied. UPDATE. We have still heard nothing and I just called to get a phone number to corporate and not only did the manager not want to give it to me, but refused to give me her name, claiming it...
Read moreMy husband & I purchased a power sofa and love seat recliner on January 1, 2021. We explained to the furniture store that we are a military family living on APG military base and they assured us delivery/repairs would not be a problem. The next day we called & scheduled a delivery date for the following week. When our furniture arrived, the delivery men set it up and tested out the power feature on the recliners. All of them worked, except one. The last one was able to recline, but was unable to go back down. He tried everything, but he couldn’t fix it. He stated that the motor was broke & that we needed to call the repair shop on Monday to schedule a service date. This was a slight inconvenience, but not a huge deal. We called & unfortunately the next available service date was for a month later. I asked if our location would be an issue & the representative told me it would not. This was another inconvenience, but again, not a huge deal. On the day of service, we got a call stating that the repair guy couldn’t get on the military base because he didn’t have his license. This upset us because we were told this wouldn’t be an issue when we initially purchased the furniture and again when we scheduled the repair date. Also, why would you send someone to drive on a military base without proper identification? We were given a new service date scheduled weeks later and was told this would not happen again. On the day of the second attempt to repair our furniture, we got another call stating the repair man is having the same issue as before, except this time his license is invalid. This time we are beyond angry. How the hell did you let this happen again? I can’t even get an apology from the representative. All she can say is how unfortunate this is and how she can schedule a new date. My husband decided to call Gavigans and see if they could help us, because we wouldn’t be in this situation if they had not sold us a broken sofa in the first place. All we got from them were a bunch of excuses and how it’s not their responsibility but an issue for the claims department. Now we are stuck with a recliner that stays half reclined and no way to get it down. I WILL NEVER BUY FROM THEM AGAIN AND NEITHER SHOULD...
