I was at this Bell Gardens store Wednesday 12/21 around 11pm shopping for a jacket I needed due to very cold weather in Los Angeles at this time. It took me awhile to find one, because the jackets are disorganized. I found a couple of other things I needed, had 3 items total. The store was about to close. I was at Maria, the night managerâs register for check out. When I tried to pay with Apple Pay, my phone had problems. I asked if I could please run to my car, parked right near the door to get my other credit card. Even though I had just stood in a long line, she said NO, that they had just closed. I then asked her if she could hold my items until they reopen the next morning. She again said NO. I went ahead & ran to my car, was back in less than 1 minute. The store had supposedly closed, yet Maria was still in the middle of checking out another customer. I stood right behind that customer w my credit card & pleaded with her to pay for the 3 items still at her register, including the jacket that I really needed. She rudely said NO again, and that it was too bad for me. This is NOT customer service, itâs customer abuse. Maria is a rank amateur manager and knows nothing about business. It seems like this is her first job. Do yourself a favor & stay far away...
