Giving the Store near Walmart in Silver Springs Florida a low rating. I was in their shopping with my Service Dog. One of the clerks gave me a hard time because he didn't have his vest on saying he is a Service Dog. Tried to explain his Vest was being washed plus it was hot here in Florida. He still said I couldn't bring him in with me in the future. After I was done shopping I went to my vehicle and got my Service Dog ID, went back inside and showed it to him. He insisted I give it to him which isn't legal to do according to the ADA Laws, only a Manager can ask to see the Card if I understood the ADA right. I have no other issues with other Aldi Stores, only this one now thanks to their clerk that was stocking shelves. I have been in that store in the past with Maxie and never had any problems. No idea why there was a problem this time other than I never seen this person working there in the past. He didn't care if the store could end up having to pay a huge fine either. Came up with some excuse that the store is privately owned and can make up their own policies. If it's privately owned why are they using the...
Read moreMy wife and I just moved to Ocala from the Rockford IL area. We're used to shopping at a supermarket called Woodman's. Woodman's is an awesome supermarket headquartered in Janesville Wisconsin with fantastic everyday low prices and a huge selection of products and brands. Going to Publix, Walmart and Winn-Dixie was a huge shock on my eyes and pocket book.
The Aldi in Ocala appeared to be fairly new and the prices more in line with Woodman's although they don't have nearly the same selection.
A lot of the products are generic with similar packaging as the brand name. Most of what we have tried so far seem to be just as good as the brand names.
Make sure you bring your own bags otherwise you pay for bags or go without. Also, if you need a cart, take a quarter. You put the quarter in a slot and it releases it so you can use it. Hook the cart back up and it'll give you your quarter back. Of course most of you probably...
Read moreThis is my fav place to go. Always clean always stocked great prices it’s always pleasant to shop here. The meat department is the only thing I personally would complain about the meats always look fresh but the amount of meat for the price is what gets me I always look to get good prices for the quantity as many other shoppers here I don’t get that deal so I go across the street to save a lot. Or when I drive to polk county to visit I get my meats out there. For me personally when it comes to the meat department all Aldi stores r the same. Reason I give it a 4star. But other then that they are great when shopping on a budget $200 will feed my fam of 4-6 for the entire month. I also like the fact that they pay their employees very well and it seems as they don’t overwork their employees like Walmart or save a lot. Keep up the...
