I had a disappointing experience at this shop and would not return. I initially chose them because they are part of the RepairPal network, which should have made repairs more affordable with my CarMax MaxCare warranty. Unfortunately, the service was frustrating from the start.
Cesar, the person assisting me, seemed unfamiliar with my car and its issue despite having the documentation in front of him. When I asked about rental car coverage (which I had discussed with another employee, Natalie), he abruptly interrupted me, assuming he knew what I was going to say. This lack of listening and communication was off-putting, and I nearly took my car elsewhere but was ultimately convinced to leave it.
Cesar told me he would call the next day at 12, but I never heard from him. I had to call at 4 p.m., only to find out they hadn’t actually diagnosed the issue yet. When they finally did, it was because they removed the door panel—meaning the entire previous day, they hadn’t even started investigating the problem, wasting my time while keeping my car for multiple nights.
On top of that, there was a severe lack of transparency regarding pricing. I was given inconsistent quotes for repairs, and I was never told that I’d be charged $260 for a diagnostic if CarMax didn’t cover the issue. Clear communication about potential charges is essential for good customer service, and that was completely lacking here.
Ultimately, I paid for a diagnostic, didn’t get my issue resolved, and left feeling scammed. This shop needs to improve its communication, transparency, and customer service. I would not recommend it.

Read moreI've been coming here for a bit now for my car - it's a 30 -40 min drive from my home but well worth it every time. I first came to them when a shop closer to me informed me that an issue I was having was due to my transmission. I bought my car used elsewhere and got a warrantee for it but it turned out that not too many places will work with the warrantee on transmission, so I went to C&M auto as it was the closest place to me that took it. Long story short, the warrantee company was pushing for a solution less to my benefit than the solution I ended up with thanks to C&M auto thanks to their back-and-forth calls on my behalf. They also took care of transporting my car to and from the dealership to get the transmission reprogrammed. Another time I noticed that my headlights were not working properly and got quoted a very high amount elsewhere to replace my headlights (my car model has strange/unique headlights). I went to C&M auto who were able to find the parts and replace the headlights for significantly less. When I go in I get realistic and honest answers to my questions -no bs. All the folk that have chatted with me about the work being done on my car have been very helpful. Here’s what happened: I paid about $160 for a diagnostic, and they sent me an estimate for the repair cost. I accepted it and waited for the parts, but they took far longer than promised. I had to follow up myself because they didn’t bother to keep me updated.
When they finally got around to starting the work, Cesar called and said there would be significantly more costs than expected. His excuses were childish and unprofessional. I decided not to proceed, of course, after wasting weeks waiting on them. On top of that, I asked for a refund for the diagnostic fee since they completely failed to deliver as promised. Cesar was incredibly rude, refused to issue the refund, and dismissed my concerns. When I told him I would leave honest feedback, he tried to intimidate me by threatening to leave a negative review on our business. What kind of professional behaves like that?
