I visited Trudy’s Hallmark with the intention of purchasing a sympathy card and Christmas gift tags and possibly a collectible for myself.
The first thing I noticed was that most of the front entrance was blocked off with store displays leaving a narrow entrance/ exit. The store was busy so it made it a little difficult if not awkward trying to enter and exit.
This particular Hallmark is a little smaller than the average hallmark. It was extremely cluttered. The saying “10 pounds of potatoes in a 5 pound sack” comes to mind. After bumping into 2 displays and almost tripping over merchandise stacked on the floor I gave up my search for the collectible. I easily found a card and the gift tags.
The service at the register was slow. However, the cashier was friendly and I was able to use both my gold crown card as well as my coupon without issue.
I miss our nice huge corporate owned hallmark in Bellingham. I love the Hallmark brand but the independent owners seem to focus more on quantity...
