I don't understand how Indians can compare a price at their shop and their handbook with labor, rent, etc in US standards and yet complain its expensive despite earning and paying rent in USD. Guys others have a life too.
Coming back, Sakkhi is pay for what you get. It does up prices during Diwali. I paid $165 sans taxes for a cotton lehenga and I am satisfied with the purchase. It's a simple cotton lehenga. Nothing fancy. No kundan or chamki work Good material. $180 in total.
I also bought $98 worth stuff like $28 jhumka which is great but the dress wore out too much color and initially looked stunning. $85 (without tax). It shrunk. Dupatta bleed red without putting any detergent and washing with water alone.
Quality is subpar and is a hit and miss. Slightly pricey for American standards.
Pricing is not very uniform. Discounts exist on all off seasons. You just need to haggle.
Indians if you wanna compare Indian clothing stores with American, please refrain eating at American outlets and earn INR for what you're worth. :) Running business...
Read moreWe used to be regular customers and bought many clothes from this shop, but during our recent visit (09/27/2025), we had a very disappointing experience. The staff tried to sell us defective clothes, and when we pointed it out, they refused to accept the issue.
To make matters worse, as we were leaving, one of my 2-year-old child’s earrings accidentally dropped. Instead of helping, the staff accused us, demanded money, and even said, “You are so particular about your things, so pay for it.” Later, it turned out that nothing had happened to the earring.
This behavior feels like cheating customers and taking revenge just because we refused to buy defective items. Very unprofessional and dishonest. We will not be buying from this shop again and do not recommend...
Read moreOver priced. Not the best of collections. Store has no space to move about. Not the quality you would expect in a good Indian wear. I bought a very pretty pastel Chanderi Silk Salwar suit ( which was the only peice that I found was good and was pretty to wear) here and the first time, I wore I found tiny metal peices that scratch from inside on the neck area, were it was embroided. No return policy and worst of all any exchange should be done within a week., so I had to exchange for cloths I did not wish to purchase, because I could not find any peice of cloth that fit right or was in a good condition and very very limited collections. Worst Diwali purchase ever.I give two stars for the store ladies who helped me out in this...
