Anytime Fitness — Local services in Bennington

I travel a lot, so I’ve been to about a dozen Anytime Fitnesses in several states. This is the only bad one. The whole gym, except for the enclosed classroom, has a strong “stinky gym” smell that none of the other locations have. I can’t imagine actually working out in those areas. Also, they apparently expect you to buy and bring a separate pair of gym shoes that you only ever wear inside this gym, since there are shoe cubbies and signs about it at the front door.

They have three showers, but the temperature and water pressure vary dramatically from a cool trickle to a normal pressured hot shower, depending on water usage in the other restrooms. It was not a good shower experience. The restrooms were large and...

I paid around $800 to join this gym. The staff stalked mine and a friends socal media page makes rude calls to my phone. All because me and a friend would not pay for training. My take on this place is that it is the true definition of a dueshbag run gym. Rude, uncomfortable, unwelcomeing, way over priced. If your not part of the golden circle your not welcome. Save your $800 it's not worth it. Anytime fitness is the used car lot of gyms. They get your membership money and that's never enough. You will be sold on personal trainer at all cost by the staff to the point where it's a problem. If you refuse it becomes a matter of harassment by the staff. Stay away from this place...

I found some people very rude and intrusive. I was talking to my boyfriend inside a restroom to get some privacy and not disturb other gym members. But to my surprise owners or staff was outside of the restroom clamoring about my long stay inside. Then I move to another area in the gym where I thought I would get a sense of privacy. However, the staff keeps on checking again on me. I find it very disrespectful. People should mind their own activity as long as it doesn’t get on other people’s business.
