Update: This place did eventually repair my phone since they had had these conversations with me and made promises specifically about this scenario. It wasn’t ideal since I had already had to buy another phone, but I do want to be fair to them that someone attempted to honor that promise in some way when I went in person a second time.

TL;DR: Return policy promises not honored. I bought a used phone here and was told at the time that if there were issues with it I could return it, at least for repair or replacement. I was told that the phone I got should be water-resistant (it was an iphone 11) and decided to get it, even though a used phone is a risky purchase, based on the fact that they would accept returns for 8 weeks if it wasn't working properly. This phone started being wonky shortly after I got it and stopped working about half way through my trip (I think due to the general dampness and humidity, which I was told it would easily stand up to), but when I brought it back I was told "there's not really anything we can do for you" despite the promises of the guarantee I had been given when I purchased it.

Also, these are just phones purchased from Amazon and re-sold at a significant mark-up. Amazon extends a guarantee where refurb phones can be returned, but this store does not seem to extend the same guarantee to its customers. The people who work here are friendly and it seemed like a nice shop to me, I just ultimately wasn't dealt with fairly, unfortunately. I bought a phone from these guys, and I hadn't had it a full week and had an incident. It was a brand new phone, and it went to do an update and while doing the update it mysteriously deleted the operating system. I took the phone back to them and ask them what can be done and their response was to go get an Obama phone. Now I would like to say I have bought a brand new phone from these guys consecutively for 3 months I've had people steal my phone I've had people break my phone and this one tops the cake. I'm not some guy running a scam I am an individual who is experiencing homelessness right at the moment and I don't appreciate how I was treated and brushed to the side. The good people that at this store make it a great experience. They might not have the biggest selection of phone covers or glass screen protectors but they've always been very honest and super helpful to me every single time I've gone in there. On rare occasions there's a little bit of a line where people are paying their phone bills or getting a new phone but most of the time you can just walk in and get great service.
