Iāve always bought my Indian clothing in India, so thinking of shopping in the U.S. was a bit nerve-wracking. Many of my Indian friends do the same, so I didnāt have any personal recommendations. We found this listing online.
Inside, a few customers were already being fitted for outfits, which was a good sign.
The customer service here was truly excellent. We were helped by Sonam, who was incredibly kind and attentive. She took the time to understand what we were looking for and made the whole process easy and enjoyable. Her warm, patient approach made all the difference. The owner, Pranesh, was also very helpful, making sure we had everything we needed. Their level of care and attention stood out and made our experience even better.
I wasnāt sure what to expect price-wise, but I was pleasantly surprised. They carry name-brand outfits at reasonable prices. We visited another store afterward for comparison, and it was noticeably more expensive, with mostly in-house branded clothing rather than well-known designers. Thatās not necessarily a bad thingāit just made it harder for us to understand the quality and pricing.
What really stood out at Siya was the quality. If you shop online, you might find cheaper options, but itās hard to know what the fabric or stitching will actually be like. The quality at Siyaās, however, felt top-notchāeverything was well-made and worth the price.
Another highlight was how efficient the process was. We tried on outfits, and they made adjustments on the spot, so we were able to take them home the same day. If you need more complex tailoring, youāll need to allow extra time. One outfit we considered was too long, and since we didnāt have time for alterations, we chose another optionāwhich, in hindsight, suited us even better in terms of color and fit.
Parking tip: The store shares a small parking lot with an Indian grocery store. If the lot is full, thereās free two-hour parking just across the street on Ninth Street, half a block north of University.
Overall, this was a fantastic experience. The service, selection, and quality exceeded my expectations. If I ever need more Indian clothing for a wedding or special occasion, Iāll definitely be back....

Before I started bridal shopping, so many people warned me that it would be hectic, tiring, and stressful dealing with vendors. And honestly, that felt true at first. I visited a few stores in Fremont and Berkeley, but most of them just felt pushy ā like they were only trying to sell me expensive outfits without caring about what I actually wanted.
Then one of our family members told me to check out Siya, and Iām SO glad I did. When I walked into the store, I was blown away. The outfits looked like they came straight out of a Bollywood movie. Elegant, vibrant, and so beautifully designed ā exactly the kind of look I had in mind for my wedding. The day I visited, PK, the owner, was there. Even though he was busy with another client, he took the time to greet me and my family. We had a quick chat about the vision I had for my wedding looks, and he encouraged me to make an appointment. The very next day, PK personally called to schedule it. Also just a heads-up ā heās hilarious and made the whole process fun! On the big shopping day, I met Sonal Aunty, PKās assistant, who was incredibly helpful and kind. She stayed with me the whole time, helping me try on outfits and making sure everything was perfect. Her support made the experience so smooth and stress-free. Now the best part ā for each of my wedding functions, PK handpicked outfits for me to try. I only tried four outfits, and I ended up buying all four! That just shows how well he understood my style ā he knew exactly what I would love. His taste and attention to detail are unmatched. In the end, we purchased over 20 outfits plus jewelry, and many of my family members found beautiful pieces as well. We received SO many compliments from our guests ā everyone loved what we wore. Thank you PK and Sonal Aunty for your amazing service, your hospitality, and for making this such a fun and memorable experience. Iām definitely coming back for more shopping in the future! If you're in the Bay Area, I highly recommend checking out Siya ā especially if you want a stress-free, high-quality, and fun bridal...
