TLDR:
Food was average, not really worth the price. The restaurant is cramped with too many tables in very little space. It almost feels like you will surely bump into the people sitting next to your table when getting up.
Long story:
The service:
The waiter was extremely rude and was the least concerned about the problems. We called around 45 minutes to half an hour before we arrived there to check if they had empty tables for two and we were given an appointment.
We were made to sit on a table for two near the aisle that leads to the freezer room and the washrooms. The door on the other end was left open and cold air was coming it. It was very uncomfortable to sit. There was a fly that we had to keep waving off and we told the waiter about our concern. She responded with a take it or leave it attitude without informing us of the seat or its position over the phone. In addition, when we said that we had to swat out the fly, she said “There are no insects here!!!!!”. As though she could count the number of insects in the room or prove that there were no insects.
When we asked for spoons to have our yellow curry, she brought us soup spoons and then when we asked her to bring us regular spoons, she gave a weird look.
We had to repeatedly ask to be switched to other tables that were empty and were told to wait for atleast 15 mins because the people had booked in advance like a day before.
This tops the list of the worst service I’ve ever gotten in a restaurant in the US and ruined the experience for me.
I would never come here again. There are so many options in this area and it is not worth the wait or reservations of any kind, going by the pathetic service. I would give negative stars if I could.
Food:
The yellow curry was totally bland and the gra pow was average at best. The pad thai has fish sauce and looked appetizing, however we could...
Read moreWe came on Saturday evening for dinner. I’ve never been here. We came to do a little food tasting possibly use them for catering for an event. So the moment you get there you join a waitlist to be seated. The restaurant was busy but we didn’t have to wait for too long. We waited maybe 8-10 minutes and we were seated.
The restaurant is not that big but maybe they have an area for big parties? I’m not sure. However, the ambiance is cute, cozy, and inviting. I love the accent wall, it’s picture worthy.
Now, let’s talk about the food. We didn’t just order one or two appetizers we ordered four and I highly recommend them: crispy shrimp roll, spicy chicken wings, crispy tofu over peanut sauce, and Roti bread (which I can eat all day). Everything tasted so fresh and like off the stove.
We also order a few dishes: Nam Khao lettuce wrap, crab fried rice, pumpkin curry with chicken and Pad Thai of course. I don’t know if I was hungry or what but everything was delicious. I never had Nam Khao which is a crispy rice with Chinese sausage and crispy pork. I loved it! It is like an explosion ingredients in my mouth so tasty.
The price: I was surprised we ordered so much food and we spent less than $200. We even had cocktail drinks and dessert. Mango Sticky on point! I don’t know about you but I felt like I was eating some really good food but also sort of healthy. I recommend this place ...
Read moreWe came into Thai Table 30-40 minutes before closing. It was cute inside but from the moment we came in, the woman was in a rush to get us in and out. Her first words after we sat down were that they’d be closing at 9:30. After ordering 3 items, the pineapple wontons were quickly brought out. Shortly after that, the spicy drunken noodles and a fried rice dish (which we did not order) were brought out. When I refused the fried rice dish and told her that’s not what we ordered, she proceeded to argue with me and then wanted to give it to me for free. The wontons and spicy noodles were subpar at best and real greasy.
Of note and during our visit, another patron had to leave without eating any of his order because the restaurant didn’t have a proper knife for him to cut his steak/meal. An argument ensued between him and the same woman.
Lastly, upon paying they have 3 tip options where it’s shockingly automatically set to 22%. Luckily I caught this and changed it to NO TIP. But I could not believe this. How many people just sign and click?
Clearly this is an establishment I won’t revisit. I’d recommend looking for another Thai place and also checking your tab so you don’t erroneously pay a 22% tip for awful...
