I echo some other reviews about walking in and no acknowledgement. There were 3 people working this day and no one said anything to me. But, that’s not the reason for my 1 star. I try to be fair and balanced in my reviews and I think 1 star is fair based off my full experience with them.
I saw their ad for a small coffee table with scratches on it but I fell in love with it and immediately wanted it in spite of the scratches. I drove 40 minutes to the store. When I got there I expressed my adoration for the table and that I drove 40 minutes to come get it. They offered to take all of the display items off the table and break it down for me. I saw the scratches in person but I still wanted it.
I purchased the table (and another item), then went home and set it up. It is very wobbly to the slightest touch. They were closed so I messaged them on the platform I saw the ad asking for their help and guidance.
They opened my message but didn’t respond. When I followed up they blamed me and said I should have checked it before purchasing. Said there’s nothing they can do. They made up some scenario of accusing me of changing my mind then wanting a refund (which I didn’t ask for that as an option until after #4 happened). When I spoke to the man who answered the phone he made some weird assumption about my presence in the store and then was legit talking over me so much I began to question if my phone was losing service and he couldn’t hear me (it was that bad). They told me it’s my responsibility to check the table before purchase. I mean, to be fair, I would think to do that at a segunda or yard sale, not an antique store that I assume would restore to good quality prior to selling it. But maybe that’s my bad. After their accusations and me standing up for myself (such a SAD interaction that a customer had to do that in the first place) I explained the timestamp showing him that I messaged them right after purchasing it asking for help, not a refund, he begrudgingly said he’d like to make it right for me so I told him I’d like help repairing it. They offered for me to go into the store but most likely wouldn’t be able to fix it. So, I decided not to drive the 40 minutes for what I’m sure would have been a frustrating interaction. And I really didn’t want a refund because I’ve expressed a million times how much I love the table.
I was planning on this store being a source of several other future purchases but rarely do I have an experience that makes me want to stay as far away as possible. This store is by far the most rude, no customer service, defensive, accusatory company who takes previous experiences out on good customers...
Read moreIncredibly disappointed. We went in to see if there was any beautiful finds - which in all honestly this place had a lot of beautiful items. We found an old Sony cassette player and radio. We weren't too excited about the radio but most excited about the cassette player. They didn't have a cassette to play but they assured me that it worked since they tested it prior to placing it on the floor. I was a bit skeptical but decided to trust their word given the good reviews and the space itself was wonderfully curated. Now that I am home it has ruined a favorite cassette and evidently does NOT work. So, with that take their "word" with a...
Read moreThis store is really cute! The furniture and decor are displayed nicely. They’re not just shoved together randomly, but instead organized by decor style. I ended up buying several items in my first trip. My one criticism is that there is some new stuff mixed in with the old. Some of it is obvious, like diamond painting kits, but some of it is more subtle like a new print of vintage art in a new wooden frame. You would have to know what you’re looking for to realize that’s not vintage and might not be...
