Build-A-Bear Workshop — Local services in Billings

Edited with update and drop to 1 star: Came back to the store to see if anything had been done about the substance using employee Krystle on 9/16 and she still works there. Scary that build a bear doesn’t care about the safety of employees and customers and children. As a kids store you would think they would take this serious. Don’t seem like they are since she still has a job working and she’s still working around kids. Such a shame. Let’s get rid of this business from our state! There’s a reason we don’t have many locations! Can’t imagine how bad it is for her coworkers. And it’s bad for the community. Good riddance!

Been here many times. Went on 9/13 around 4:40 pm and was shocked to see an employee who is visibly on hardcore illegal substances. It’s children’s store! Her name was Krystle. Black hair. Hispanic maybe. Pretty sure that lady worked at JCP in the same mall and she was ALWAYS tweaking and I heard she got fired for using and money was going missing. You’d think being a children’s store they would test for substances! At least the hard ones. So sad to see. Hope I don’t see that employee there again! Nor regard for our kids. I expect that elsewhere but not at a children’s oriented store. I reached out to corporate to let them know as well but heard nothing back. Such a shame. The other employee there was great though. Hadn’t seen her before but she was obviously not on something and was helpful and knew her stuff. Won’t be back if hiring addicts is the new thing though....

I am actually very surprised by the unpreparedness this store had on Black Friday. To get a unstuffed is so expensive as it is! But to have two check out ladies and only one register was not a good combination. Then to wait over 30 minutes to check out with only ONE person in front of me! Was ridiculous!! Those two employees made more problems just to check out! Not to add a customer with a minimum 20+ coupons!! And no they were not understaffed! Needless to say a long line formed behind me! And very unhappy people. Finally when it was my turn I voiced my thought! (Trying to manage a 2 year old during this time, especially waiting) And honestly the manager and cashiers really didn’t care at all and had an attitude of WHO CARES! I won’t be shopping there again! I can buy stuffed animals somewhere else and the experience of this place, is not worth what both a 2 year old and I endured ! And I’ll save on my pocket book. Plus not be...

Lol. 5 trips to stuff 14 bears of my own plus 2 Christmas presents and got 3 bears literally for free thanks to gift cards and earning points in BABW bonus club. Thank you Miss Chelsea, Miss Marie, and Miss Rachelle? For putting up with 38 year old me, I have loved Build a Bear since 1997 but never threw myself into collecting like I have since 2021. Thank you so much you made me very happy and I got to meet another BAB fan, a worker at the candy shop not even two store fronts down from you all. I seriously can't remember her name but she saw my shake it up bunny and wondered if it truly was one. I let her hold her and we talked about it for a good ten minutes. I will definitely see you all in December...
