My wife and I wanted a break from our typical choices for eating during a recent Billings visit. We picked Pakayor due to it's overall 4.9 rating on Google. They absolutely deserve this rating and we will no doubt be returning soon! This is a family owned business so that is a great thing in todays world. The food was fantastic! We had the Calamari which was thick pieces. Two sauces are brought with the order, one spicy and one a bit more sweet. The Spicy Rice with shrimp and the Green Curry with Chicken were also great dishes. We got everything at a 5 out of 5 heat and it was pretty spicy, a 4 for us would likely be better but the heat did not overpower the flavors of the food and that is Key to us. We DID get the spice we requested so that statement is not a complaint and we still ate all of what we ordered. The portions were ample, the above items were split between my wife and I and we brought some home as well. My favorite cuisine is Asian and I was curious to try Thai food in Billings, MT. We decided to check this place out. Immediately, we were greeted by the server who might have been the owner. The customer service was great and because of that I'll keep this post respectable. However, I was not impressed by the chicken pad thai. Once served, it immediately smelled foul, almost like unclean beef tripe. After taking a bite, it tasted just as it smelled. Gross. I could not eat my food. Don't get me wrong, I love Asian food, I have relatives who are Asian lol. Not only this, but I felt like the server was trying to be validated on how good the food tasted by consistently asking my party if the food was good. Customer service was cool and it could have been worse considering this was a white man and we were people of color but it seemed as though this guy genuinely loves the business.
