Reasor’s worst experience ever 7-11-2025 Since Reasor’s has changed ownership, I have noticed a decrease in customer service which equates to customer satisfaction and retention. The first thing I noticed was the lack of personnel assisting the cashier who is both scanning and bagging the groceries which extends the time to check out and contributes to longer lines or wait times. One time I got ticked off and left the original ice cream on the counter to get another that was not already partially defrosted. Another time I simply jumped in and started to bag my own groceries in order to speed up the process. Tonight (8 PM) there were no cashiers available, and all the customers had to use the self-checkout stands regardless of having 1 item or exceeding the 20 item limit. Asked where the manager was and was advised he was in the back and that they only had the self-checkout stands open due to a lack of personnel to operate the others. Are these issues due to employee morale or management’s willingness to pay an adequate wage or pay someone overtime in order to maintain their established customer service goals? Yes, I can go to Target or Walmart, but I am reluctant to do so as they are not as focused on groceries versus the grocery stores that have that as their sole business model. Yes, I can go to the other specialty stores such as Whole Foods or Sprouts which are fantastic and have a great meat, vegetable, fruit market at a fair price and offer fresh soup to boot. My only issue is that they do not tend to provide brand name items such as Bush baked beans or coke products etc. I feel it is time for Publix or Kroger’s to step in and give Reasor’s a reason to compete for our commitment to stay with them or our wiliness to go over to the new competition which I would do in a heartbeat at this point based upon my recent experience at Reasor’s that seems to be directed by management’s directives as the individual employees seem to be doing the best they can with the support they do or...
Read moreI've had several issues with this Reasors, which discourages me from returning. When my son was an infant and on specialty formula, I asked if they could start ordering a case instead of a few cans (running to the store every couple of days was unrealistic). Two different managers said that they would. I tried for at least six weeks to follow up and purchase the extra cans they said would be in the following week's shipment, but it never actually happened. It was super frustrating and I stayed away from the store for about a year.
A year later, I was looking for specific products and my husband suggested I check Reasors. I called the store and asked if they had what I was looking for - they replied, yes, they had them and there was a big table full of the holiday products. Twelve hours later (the next morning), I go into the store and the table is no longer there. I walk the entirety of the store twice because I thought that perhaps the table had moved or the products were reshelved. When I still couldn't find them, I found an employee and asked where the Passover foods were - he replied that they sold out of the limited stock they had a few days ago and offered me a different product instead. (Passover foods are very specific and the alternatives they offered weren't right for the holiday.)
Last week, a little over a year later, I went back to the store - it wasn't Passover and I didn't need formula. I only needed a few things, so I figured it should be fine. Instead I had two very weird experiences that don't encourage me to come back anytime soon. After speaking to a nice woman at the deli counter, she bowed when she redirected me to a different part of the store. A little odd, but not a big deal. What made me incredibly uncomfortable was a male employee (complete stranger to me) bopped me on the shoulder with a flattened cardboard box and said that it was a good thing he was wearing...
Read moreThe company that bought Reasor's has taken away every reason why I chose to shop here. I used to spend more money at this store over shopping at a place like Walmart for better produce and meats. Its bad folks, from the produce that has actual mold on it (yeah you read that right) to the way they have reduced what was once a great meat counter to a mere fraction of what it was in variety and quality. The side door by the deli counter is always locked because they refuse to staff the store. On a 4th of July weekend the store at 8:30pm has ZERO cashiers. That's right... the day before the biggest grilling holiday of the year not one single cashier at a register. You can only use the self checkout. When I asked the staff said that corporate won't give them the staff hours. I have a huge basket with produce that requires lookups. The self checkout was an absolute joke. EVERY item when I was checking out kept erroring out and had to be removed from the area and put back repeatedly. Me and two other customers were talking about what a joke the place has become while having the same issues trying to checkout. It's 2025 and self checkout works everywhere but this place. They have slowly gone through and just reduced what was a great place to shop and get quality produce and meats and cheeses to garbage. There is no reason to shop here and pay more for what has now become lower quality products and a frustrating shopping experience. Go to Whole Foods or Sprouts for better...
