Helzberg Diamonds — Local services in Blaine

Today I went to the Blaine helzbergs store to take a few rings In due to missing diamonds and needed new sizing. I was greeted so kindly by an employee I now know as Christine the store manager . I am leaving this review for many reasons but mostly to share some understanding and kindness’s .

My now husband had purchased many items of Jewelry for me from helzbergs over many of years 15 or so . My Engagement ring along with Mother’s Day gifts from our now children.

When the sales person asked me for the warrantee card with the updates of when the jewelry had been inspected etc I did not have it and honestly I couldn’t even begin to think of where it was . Reason being that I had not had any records of bringing the items in for so long and that without a 6 month / year as she explained they are relaxed on it but I could be charged for repairs. I then asked about the warranty that my husband purchased so many years ago and why should people purchase it if it can not be used in times of need . Christine was very helpful in explaining why and the reasons for it. Now let me be honest yes it had been awhile and I respect and understand the provisions of the warranty.. after quite a bit back and forth Christine so kindly worked magic and did not charge me for the much needed repairs and I am so gracious and thanked her so humbly . What I didn’t say in the store because I didn’t want to disclose this at that time as it’s painful was that back when the last time I brought those items to be repaired my father past away and while grieving I was dignosed with cancer and that is why I had not been able to return to have my rings / jewelry inspected . I will say when thanking Christine because I am very thankful she was less then polite and maybe didn’t know that the things she was saying were hurtful and that although I am more then grateful to her I left there feeling deep sadness by her demeanor that I had not upheld the warrant provisions . It was not because I didn’t want to it was because I physically could not . I want to again thank her for everything as these items do mean so much to me . I just want to make aware to check your warrantees when buying such beautiful jewelry . I hope that if anyone else is diagnosed with anything preventing them from life that on the upside have the kindness and grace . I didn’t not have $1,500 to have them all repaired. I hate to say this, but we had a terrible experience at this Helzberg location. At first it was lovely, we were greeted by a lovely sales associate named Hailey. She was pulling out wedding bands that I wanted to look at for my partner and I. Then another sales associate, Yua took over. She was pushy and rude. At one point I pulled Hailey aside and asked her if Yua was stealing her sale because Yua was making my partner and I feel so uncomfortable as to why she would take over like that. After pulling more rings, which were really nice, but did not match what I was looking for. Yua continued to state that the sapphire bridge was beautiful although I told her it looked busy. Her response, "No it is not busy it's beautiful." Over and over again. My partner and I shared our concerns about finances and she told us not to worry about it because she had us covered. Neither of us understood what she meant as we are making the payments not her; she did not get our trust because of how she pushed the financing and her ideas of the rings that I did not feel matched my vision. She repeated this behavior several times. She slowed down towards the end, but ultimately lost a sale because of her overbearing behavior to enforce her vision on my wedding ring set and Helzbergs terrible interest rates on their credit cards. After this uncomfortable experience, we decided to look around and found a different jewelry business that had a laid back environment, suited my vision and best fit our financial needs.
